Just heard a top GR sophomore will not play in the tourney due to drinking. Can anyone confirm this?

That's truly disappointing if true. As someone who isn't able to get up north to watch many games I was truly looking forward to seeing this GR-Bem. game and all the talent both teams have. I'm still hoping it's not true because I would love to see both these teams at full strength but it's sounding like I shouldn't get my hope up.

This will be cryptic but in fairness to the player involved I thinks it's better this way. No defending the mistake that was made but if the circumstances by which he was identified are true it just makes you want to scream. Let's just say modern technology can be used for nefarious reasons.

So, lets assume that the rumor is true and that a kid got busted for drinking and is out. Does not matter for the purposes of this post who it is. Call this kid Thing 1. When was the roster submitted for state? Is it frozen? If Thing 1 got busted and can't skate that could leave a hole in the team (and depending on which kid it was it could be a really really big hole) that could pretty well end GR's chances IMO.

Can Rapids drop that kid off of the roster and put Thing 2 on in his place?

Yes, sources say a picture sealed his fate and it made the 80 mile trek west to Grand Rapids. No excuse....he screwed up, so his team has to pay the price. Kids......

Are you saying that they are going to need that 3rd goalie or did they bring him along to show him the bright lights of the big city?

I will say only that there's a bit more to the story than the current rumor circulating.
