Cloquet was just in a hockey day Minnesota in Elk River. We played in the class A game vs. Rochester Century.

Coleraine doesn’t have a team. A Warroad vs Greenway would be a good one though. This age group has battled all through the youth levels with close games.

Having one possibly two metro teams would be the right call. I don't think you'd draw the tv audience if it was 4 teams from up north

I'll go Bemidji vs a Metro AA school

and

Roseau (or EGF) vs a Metro A school

We need to bring back the 70's and 80's with some good North vs South hockey

I think we would want a top AA metro team to play, but that would be a tough match-up for Bemidji.

I think it would be fun to see Bloomington Jefferson play Bemidji for the AA game. Warroad vs. South Saint Paul Packers in the A game. Give the iTunes of St. Paul some love.

That was a fun listen. Wow! Bemidji is a very nice community! They’ve got it all up there! Impressive and it sounds like they going to blow the doors of with Hockey Day 2019

The date of Hockey Day 2019 in Bemidji will be announced July 1 along with the teams. It will happen during the Bemidji Jaycees Water Festival.

Over on the Michigan Tech thread on US College Hockey Online, according to the Joe Shawhan (head coach, Michigan Tech) Radio Show, Michigan Tech will play Bemidji State outside during Hockey Day Minnesota.

Spoke to a hockey Dad from Bemidji who said Bemidji-Greenway is 'rumored' to now be under consideration as original 'rumored' opponent, Minnetonka, would not be a competitive choice, in his opinion.
Guess we'll know July 1st.

The NHL releases their complete schedule today at 4:00 today. We should get a better idea as to which date in January (12, 19 or 26) that Hockey Day Minnesota in Bemidji is on. The BSU Women play Mankato in a single non-conference game on the weekend of the 19th (on the schedule as the 18th, 19th or 20th) and the BSU Men play Michigan Tech in a home series on the 18th and 19th with it announced (by Michigan Tech's coach) that the 19th will be outdoors. The official announcement is July 1 in Bemidji, including the teams involved.
