Who cares about 2 kids from Cambridge. Give me a break. Kids don't eat breath and sleep hockey. You are a typical young father who has dreams for your little Wayne Greztky. Wake up fella!

I35hockey,

Why would hockey1447 say that? The only reason I ask is because I heard the other two people on his list are going for sure. So I thought he actually knew what he was talking about. But I never heard anything about Alex.

A friend of mine from up north told me about a rumor going around that the Clark brothers from LOW are going to be transfering to TRF for the 05-06 season. Now I don't know if this is true or not but if it is I would look for them to go deep into the state tournament. From what I saw last year, TRF had a solid team all the way back to the net, but there things got a little bit shakey. I know from watching Jay Clark play in select camps that he is a very solid goalie and if he was to go down to play in TRF, that would complete the team not to mention his brother would be on the blue line with Benedict which would put arguabally two of the best Jr. defensman in the state on the same team.

Glad to see that he is going to Benilde so he can be on a state team. Even though Orono sometimes suprises everyone and appears in the State Tourney.

taking 2nd and 3rd place and winning every game by at least 4 goals in sections is hardly surprising anyone

Sorry my mistake i dont really follow Orono. But when they get to state they are usually a suprise and do well, so take a compliment and dont bust out your facts.

Carl Sneep should transfer to GR. Actually GR is loaded with Defensemen but the depth wouldn't hurt. Instead of playing that central lakes conference you get games vs. Moorhead, Apple Valley, Roseau, Blm Jefferson, Elk River, Edina, and Eden Prairie.

Sneeper is listed on the Indiana Ice USHL Roster. I would think that indicates he will not be playing for Brainerd OR the Thunderhawks this year. Jay Clark goalie from LOW is also listed on their roster.

Sneep is a nice kid but he should stay where he is, a move to any higher level school would put him on the bench. No hands and bad feet.

Just because someone is on a USHL roster in June doesn't mean they'll be there come September. Things can change.

You are very right when you say that being on the roster now does not mean youe will be on the roster in November. In Jay Clarks case Indiana drafted a goaltender higher than Jay and from what my sources tell me Jay was lucky to be picked #2. Was at best the 3rd or 4th best goalie at the camp. This tells me he would be lucky to play 20 games. He would be better off staying in LOW where he would play a minimum of 26 games. What is more likely to happen is that he starts the year at Indiana and then gets cut. What happens then? He would be out of luck. Kids and parents just have to think some before making these decisions. If Jay does leave I feel sorry for the rest of the team because without him they will be very weak. As far as Carl Sneep goes my sources tell me he will not be on the roster come July 1.

Rumor has it...Hill-Murray goalie Mike Scott is gonna go to Mounds View. Any truth to that? If so, how do the Mustangs look for next year?

The latest skinny we've been hearing is that the Clark goalie is going to try Indy and there will be no move to TRF for either Clark then - lil' Jonny gets stuck in laa-laa land.<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/grin.gif ALT=" >D"> I thought it always better to be an average player on a good team than a stud on a really bad team. My TRF source was 98% sure they'd landed them in mid-April. The TRF bunch seemed really keyed up for the Clark goalie but it sounded as if Bergy isn't that enthralled with lil O-minded D. They were still alittle uptight about having to possibly go through Warroad AT Warroad on the big sheet for Sections, that seemed to be their only real concern. The laugher they were all having is even Bergy can't screw this one up, so yes they are pretty confident - that was with the Clark kid between the pipes... Also, sounds like the upcoming sophomore Bemidji boys slated to go to Warroad are getting a case of cold-feet, no matter Warroad's sophomores are solid enough in Class A to contend anyway, it would have been gravy if any came. The new program salesman seems to be able to get the players to nibble but can't get 'em in the live well...yet. Just for you G & W. Anyways; who knows for sure, we'll find how the chips fall end of August.

It's true about Mike Scott. He has decided to move over to Mounds View for his senior year because he just never got the chance at H-M. I would have loved for Mike to stay and be able to play and bring his fun personality to the team, but it's his choice and he wants to be guaranteed a good amount of games. I wish him the best of luck on his move.

As far as Mounds View goes, they should be decent. In the past they have been more known for their pretty good offense, and that's what I'm guessing they will work with this year. I'm very sure that Mike should be the #1 goalie because I remember last year their goalies were just awful...

Quote:
Just because someone is on a USHL roster in June doesn't mean they'll be there come September. Things can change

If all things were created equally I would agree with you, but when you are talking about a U-18 or a U-17 it makes quite a difference. The USHL teams are mandated to have 8 U-18 and of those 3 must be U-17. So, these kids are not really competing against the rest of the team, they are competing against other kids in their age bracket. Also, these high school kids need to enroll in a new school, so normally the coach has a pretty good commitment from the kid and family and the kid and family have a pretty good commitment from the coach. In some cases teams are willing to roster a high school kid knowing he may only give them a few games before the season and a few games after the season.
