West Metro in the hizzy here from Braemar. This one has the makings of a blowout. Edina depleted with injuries. Going to take a strong goaltending performance to keep them in it long enough to sneak out a win. Moneyline has white bear -240.

Power plays the only difference. Good game so far.

Looks like Edina is just a step behind the top 15 this year. Pretty amazing after how good they were last year.

Excellent reporting by others above , and CakeScout in attendance also
Clark not suited up for hornets. Reason unknown
Bears played their usual good defensive game . Dump and chase last half of third .One possession away from the win
Roed Newpower Rose had a lot of ice time. But appeared to be able to handle it
Thought net might have been off the post on Stones tying goal . But I was behind the benches at center ice watching coaches at work ; no one else mentioned it in posts above so must have been a good goal
Pretty even matchup .Clark might have made the difference of one goal , but who knows

I think it is a creaky back, but don't hold me to it. What was interesting to me is how good they were offensively when Stone & DeVoe were on the ice. Neither started on Varsity this year and made their case they belong.

The net looked to be off to me on the tying goal, and I was on the opposite blue line. Not sure how the referee missed it right in front of him. They pretty much let them play in the 3rd period with several non calls.
It was a good game though. White Bear may have had as many fans there as Edina.
Surprising to me how well WBL’s defenseman are playing after losing Millard, Anderson, and Klein to graduation. Montgomery was very solid last night.
