Shots are now 22-12 in favor of Hermantown. Hawks scored with .01 seconds left. KOZY announcers are fine with the call. Good enough for me. Should be a good 3rd.

Greenway 2, North Shore 0. Good news for Greenway is everyone is back. In addition another player became eligible as well. He’ll be a big help filling in the fourth defensemen spot. Not one of their better games but a win is a win.

1-0 Cdh after 2. Sogs 15-5 Cdh
Ponies need shot of adrenaline . Tussey has whiffed on a couple good opportunities . How can this be same Pony team that put up 35 Sogs against Ep in nov?
Scary moment early in 2nd where Gleason was down for 2-3 minutes , but then skated his normal line on next shift

Huge turnaround over the final two periods. Cathedral looks really good, though now everyone will be calling for them to move up to AA

I’ll post more about this game tomorrow (after some reflection) For now, suffice it to say, with no disrespect aimed at the defending Class A Champs...this game exposed some red flags (regarding Andover). If I was a GR or DE fan, tonights result brings along with it some encouragement...this was a disappointing loss for the Huskies IMO, because at its core, it demonstrates the type of game where they are vulnerable & can lose

GR and Hermantown end 2-2 tie. Hawks kill off a penalty in OT that Rapids poured on some pressure. Clafton with a few huge saves in the OT as well. I caught the 3rd and OT on youtube. Very entertaining game.

Nah, they're about seven or eight Class A State Tournament championship game appearances away

SCC 2 Andover 1 FINAL

Caught the third period of this one. Apparently my #1 ranking is now a kiss of death. Guess I'll have to slide the Huskies back up there in sections!
I'll say this for Cathedral: between the Hermantown game last week and this one, I don't think any team in either class is showing better championship mettle. After going down to teams with either more front-end talent (Hermantown) or depth (Andover) they have found ways to fight back, even as they adjust to life without Jack Smith. Despite the shots, they were generating the better chances over the roughly one half of this game that I watched. You can tell they've been there before and know what to do in big games.
Curious for hockey59's comments on Andover as us in the northern 7AA crowd look to dissect the Huskies. They seem to lack that top-end scoring punch you'd expect a #1 team to rely on late in a tight game like this one, and even Kaiser appeared to be pressing toward the end, trying to stick-handle through the heart of the Cathedral defense. Some questions linger...
In other news, St. Louis Park beat Chaska 8-3. Huh?

I grew up on the Range in the 70's so I'm not too surprised about small schools winning big games. It's what has made me a die hard hockey fan for 50 years.

Final 2-0 from SCV. Sogs on scoreboard 20-17 Raiders. Hub says 28-17.
Long drive from the West Metro for this one. Should have gone to Andover .
Not same Pony team that played Eden Prairie fairly evenly in late November. Don’t appear ready for top 10 right now
Wished Mrs Gleason good luck down the stretch and on the Mr Hockey vote
Told Zach H that forum members want more of Alexis Pearson on Kfan HS radio and would be fun to see her guest appear on remaining Horn broadcasts . Maybe Karl and Lee should extend a formal invite to her for the Forum . Also , Love her new Podcasts with Jessi. @BeautiesBardown .

I'm interested in your thoughts as well, I've watched a lot of this group over the last 3 years and when they are rolling they look unbeatable. However, at least this year when they get in tight games they haven't come out on top as much as I would have thought they should have and we all know how 7AA has turned out under those circumstances in the last couple of years.
