Hill had chances in the 2nd to make a game of it but couldn’t finish. I agree Koepple didn’t have his A game today.

D did a great job of limiting Wayzata's chancesand moving the puck up and out of their own end. Forwards were very good as well and had some very good rushes that resulted in goals and other great chances.

For me, it was the most complete game I have watched them play this year. Nicely done T Hawks.
Very impressive, indeed.
Section 7 games should all be close and everyone will have a chance.

Warroad takes down Moorhead 1-0. Nice bounceback for the Warriors after the Roseau loss.

This is just my opinion but I would think Warroad should be in the " best team in the state " discussion. A and AA

Good take GI-80. It was a very satisfying game, especially once GR got fired-up midway through the second period. DelGreco is really a spark plug for this team. If he gets going it seems the rest of the team follows.

Has anyone else noticed that a Rapids player always gets hurt by a Wayzata cheap shot in these games. Maybe it is where I am sitting, but the Trojans seem to confuse dirty play with being tough.

This can be said statewide. Very exciting year to be a hockey fan in Minnesota.

I don’t they are faster. Just played better. Always seemed to make the right play and not turn the puck over.
I was also at the game, sitting on the HM side just forward of the corner. Have to agree with Scotty & adding H-town is almost never caught flat-footed or out of position. Fun to be there though to see the 1970 state chanmpionship team honored on their 50th anniv. of that event.

Agree. The State Tournament could be made up of all the traditional teams or it may have 8 newcomers. I'm not sure that has ever been the case in the 50 years I've watched.

Seamans from Wayzata got a game misconduct for head contact in last night's game against Greenway. Just checked the Rapids game; not on the roster.
Maybe one or two players is dirty.

I watched on Youtube but didn't see the actual hit. Sheldon on KOZY did say after the hit that it was going to be a misconduct but he didn't feel their was any intent to cause injury.

Blaine 1-0 over WBL after 2. Could be 4-0 if not for Steffens. Worst I’ve seen the Bears play this year.

Bears come out of hibernation and tie it 1-1 going to OT.
Blaine definitely better for 2 periods.

WBL wins in OT. Goalie stole this one.

My thoughts exactly. It could be a bizarre year with a bracket full of strange & unfamiliar logos, or in the end, under section tournament pressure, perhaps tradition prevails & we’ll be watching Edina and Moorhead in March. Probably gonna get a little mixture of both.

Time will reveal, and I’m sure as many of you will as well, I’ll be spending much of mid to later February into March on the edge of my seat watching the 19/20 story be written. With a nacho tray in hand.

The stats on hockey hub ought to be interesting, somewhere in the neighborhood of 70 minutes of penalties and between 2 and 6 ejections. It was hard to hear. (There were no penalties in the first period that I can recall)

Game easily could've been a Blaine blowout without Steffens coming up huge in net for the Bears, way too many turnovers by the Bears and gave up way too many odd man rushes. Nice to see them somehow still pull out the victory.

I recall someone posting after a recent game involving Rochester teams something similar. Seems to be a lot of Bad Blood. Now we've got problems. I don't think we can solve them.

Agreed. Particularly the one who got a five minute major. He was running at guys the whole game. Reminded me a bit of the game these two teams played in 2016 at Rapids. Wayzata got really physical in the third period led by “hammerin” Hank Sorensen after the orange had dominated for two periods. Wayzata came back to win and went on to win state title.

Per hockeyhub.....92 minutes in penalties, 0 in the first, 12 in the second, 80 in the third.

Guys, I'm going to have to consider another message board. This by far the funniest thing I'll ever post here and not one person acknowledged it, much less nominated it for funniest thing they'll see on the internet this week.

There’s hope! I’m a firm believer that funny is when other people say you are, yet I’m sure Seinfeld’s come up with a joke and known it would hit the mark.

Thanks for the support. Seriously, there was s Rochester game someone posted about around a month ago that similarly went off the rails.
