Unsure how an OT win in an outdoor game locks HM at 1 like so many on forum and Twitter have stated so confidently.

I do see Gentry giving the 1 seed all they can handle in semis anyways.

It was nice to see Sager mixing in 3rd line more than earlier in season. Cant go 2 lines throughout in class AA. Will get gassed halfway through....last 2 section final ganes come to mind.

Edina: 0
Final

Goal happened when Edina player lost & edge & Tonka made them pay.

Edina's good, but Tonka's better.

Duluth East hot right now. 7AA sections are going to be good.

It counts. But some have argued that, in the future, it should be considered an exhibition and not be counted. But for now, it is.
I think the coaches before the game agreed it was more an exhibition for HDM and wont effect rankings in 4AA. If it is thrown out, WBL clear 1 and HM clear 2 SW 3 Lucius Acadamy 4
If that’s true, then yup Bears are clear #1. Same as last couple of years, it’s hard to know what to make of Gentry. But it wouldn’t surprise me if they give the #1 a game.

I’ve yet to see anyone confidently saying Hill should be the #1 seed. I think they have an argument for it. As do the Bears. Heck the way this season has gone I wouldn’t be all that shocked to see a Gentry v Stillwater section final.

I agree with could very well be Gentry vs Sw final
.I've mostly seen the HM #1 lock narrative in the twitter side. Speahar parody and a few others. Curious to see what Karl has to say in the AM

I actually think todays Hill game has a negative impact in the sense that Hill is dangerously close to (a) not really having a signature win and (b) finishing the season under .500 or at best right at .500

Those aren’t helpful arguments for the #1 on the Hill side.

Define "signature win". My definition includes beating WBL. On the overall W/L record, I have a hard time seeing them finishing above .500 given their final two opponents are Maple Grove and Moorhead and that could stick in the coaches craws a bit. HM might only have one good win, but have no bad losses, something Stillwater can't say. Given this, 1-3 in that section could be a crap shoot. I'd have to check out what the Fake Spe said on Twitter

In fake spe tweeting each sections with locks designated. He had HM locked at 1 as lone lock in 4AA. I think Gentry could make nlose and throw all this debate out of the window

I would define signature win as, at minimum, a top 10 victory. Maybe a top 7 or 5 if you want to get super specific. WBL is their BEST win, but I’m not sure beating a 12th-ish ranked team outdoors in OT is SIGNATURE

EDIT- it’s signature in the sense that HDM is special. And beating an arch rival on their hockey day is special. But I see signature as ‘we can beat one of the best in the state when necessary’. Not sure Hill has a victory to show that. They can hang around with many of the very best. But that’s different than showing you can beat them.

Hill has no signature wins, they're done like dinner. I wouldn't count so much on an ot win on chippy ice outside.
One more week to tell the story.

It’s not just White Bear it’s all the other team in 4AA. Not sure it their roof collapsed or if they would want to play their home games at Aldrich. The only arena in Minnesota where you can get a hot dog as big as your head.
Just think, they could hang all those WB championship banners up next to Hill’s. Oh, wait.

Well I’m sure an 0-18 banner would look cool too. You gotta be the best at something. Even if it’s being the best at being the worst.
East Metro All Star team, year after year and you piss on everyone else. My two cents.
Woe, woe, woe. Let’s not limit it to just the East Metro. They’ve expanded to Roseau in the north and Wisconsin to the East. Not sure how far West (I know Edina, not sure if Cambridge is further). South?
