I was at both the Minnetonka and St. Thomas games, Hill goaltender continually kicks the net off. I don’t know why the refs continue to ignore it.

That's Aldrich. Happens to goalies for both teams. Been that way for a long time.

At some of these rinks, it doesn't take much to knock the nets off the moorings. Goalies slide over and make contact with the post and it comes off. I get player safety, but it should take more effort to knock these nets off.

Seems they come off more on odd men rushes and when shorthanded.

Hill Murray 1

Pretty even game. Hill had several grade A chances in the 2nd period and couldn’t finish. St. Thomas hit a least 2 posts. Both goaltenders were outstanding. I thought the officiating was a questionable at times. Good crowd but far from a sellout.
I only watched the first period through, but I did see HM was assessed a major in the 2nd period, but from the stream it was impossible to tell why. Did you see what happened?
I have no idea. He got a five and a game misconduct. I thought the rink announcer said unsportsmanlike conduct but that could have been for the game misconduct, not the original penalty. Lechner didn’t seem to upset about the call.
I couldn't tell either, but guys behind me wondered if it was a racial slur. Looked like the call was initiated by the linesman going to the orangesleeves, and I think the calls that he can initiate are very few.

Here's what linesmen can report to the referee, from USA Hockey: https://www.usahockeyrulebook.com/page/ ... 3-linesman

"The Linesman shall report to the Referee at the next stoppage of play their version of any infraction of the rules that they believe constitutes a bench minor, major, match, misconduct, game misconduct or penalty shot under these rules. In addition, the Linesman shall give their version of any Injury Potential Penalty (see Glossary) that occurs behind the play and is not observed by the Referee. The Referee, at their discretion, may assess a penalty for such infractions."

They can also stop play immediately for too many players, articles thrown onto the ice, and delay of game by dislodging the goal.
