Ridiculous yes, but no clue what’s happening at the younger levels to give them this thought process. As for Hibbing I would much rather see hibbing than Hermantown for the next 4-5 and Cloquet or whomever over hermantown to make it to St. Paul

That's ridiculous and devastating to what could have been a good 4-5 year run for Hibbing. I hope it's just a few bad apples and not something else internally but everything I've heard about coaching, the staff, the AD have all been positive.
IMO, there was only one player on the Hibbing bantam team that would be "devastating" if he left. And I'd be shocked if he walked away from the chance to play big minutes with some absolute stars on a top team in Class A

I didn’t see the bantam team this year but I believe you if he played last year. Give it a couple months when summer skate starts and see who is where. One would assume they would be skating with a new team come summer but I have seen them wait as well

Burmis signs in Medicine Hat. Will not return to Rogers. This leaves only Medin to lineup. Wow

Wouldn't he have been a senior in HS last year? He was a junior on Chan's 24-25 team according to Legacy Hockey

He sure did rack up a lot of miles that's for sure. I don't believe he's an impact player not even at EP but I suppose they can use all the help they can get. They will probably be better than last year though even without Thompson.

Nash Roed won't be returning to White Bear.
Congratulations to forward Nash Roed, who has earned a spot on the National Team Development Program Under 18s roster for the upcoming season!
“The entire Black Hawks organization would like to congratulate Nash on this opportunity; we hope the 2026/27 season includes some great experiences and a couple of medals from international competition,” said Waterloo General Manager Kevin Gibson. “We look forward to Nash joining us after an additional season of development and becoming a fan favorite at Young Arena in 2027/28.”

Congrats ro Nash. Great player.
With loss of him and most likely Marquardt, this team is done.
I thought a big part of the Chris Andersom hire was keeping kids to stay and keep within the program. They're losing nearly everyone. Not looking great for program as a whole.

Couple Hibbing bantams potentially leaving and surprisingly not to rapids, hermantown or rockridge but another iron range school that we haven’t heard from for a while and I wasn’t expecting to hear from for a couple yrs.
Any update on this now that the summer program is over at all the schools?

Class A guy reporting that Cloquet star junior forward Jordy Sewell is transferring to Hermantown.

Gross. Cloquet seems to be on the right path to getting back to State. That game against Hibbing was one of the best games of the year in sections. There have been some blurbs about another move in from just up the hill a bit as well has anyone else heard something similar?
Also curious to hear about those Hibbing kids who were reported to transfer out what I believe was Greenway.

Ok, I'm calling BS on this as it's starting to annoy me, lol. Not sure where ND Irish got his info, but i think a doctor with a flashlight would be required to find the source.
I'm glad Greenway is on the upswing, but to be honest, their varsity team was terrible last year, and not a single youth team has made state for a long time, much less have a winning record.
Most Greenway youth teams have been getting routinely pummeled by Cloquet and Rock Ridge, and seem to be losing to Proctor and Hibbing regularly also. They don't even play Hermantown, as far as i can tell. So, being a true contender in 7A seems like a long shot for the foreseeable future, therefore i cannot comprehend why they would be a desirable destination.
Those Troumbly/Lawson teams were making it to state at youth before they had some transfers come in at varsity. This is not the case with the current Greenway teams at all.
I'm glad Greenway is improving, but i wont believe a word of this transfer talk until i see an actual roster this fall.

Maybe he meant Bagley. Because it's surely not GR either.

Sorry i don't live on the range and don’t travel rink to rink. As for kids skating at greenway, yes they had some new kids and couple really good bantams skating. As for the hibbing kids i did hear two skated at rapids for a week and then the same two skated at rock ridge for a week. Why wouldn't you wanna play for Niskanen and Clafton being Clafton he has a way to get kids into the door. So until school starts and I make a trip north, I’m eagerly waiting as well

In your previous post you said these Hibbing bantams were concerned about not making the varsity next year, and would possibly leave instead of playing JV. Well Rock Ridge and GR will both probably be about as good as Hibbing next year, so I'm not sure they increase their varsity odds by moving to either of those places. And Hibbing coach Jamnick is a former D1 player, won Class A coach of the year, and has taken his team to state twice, quite a feat in a section with Hermantown and Cloquet. Why wouldn't anyone want to play for a coach with that kind of resume?
I guess i take umbrage with your past statement that said (paraphrasing) "not sure what's happening at the youth levels to cause this", as though there were a problem with the youth system. Just because a couple of bantams might want to transfer because they won't make varsity as sophomores has NOTHING to do with the youth program, so I don't get how/why you linked those two unrelated things.
Instead of publicly questioning the Hibbing program, why don't you dig into why Greenway hasn't made a state tournament at any level in 7 years, or why Rajala left Greenway, or why, as far as I can tell, Greenway has had one youth team with even a winning record the past 3-4 years. If Greenway is coming on as you claim, then why did the Hibbing Pee Wees go 4-0 against them this year, by a combined score of 22-8, and the Hibbing squirts swept Greenway in both games by a combined score of 14-6? If Hibbing has a "youth problem", what does that say about Greenway?
As far as I can tell, you heard a couple of delusional parents of mediocre players threaten to leave because their kids weren't going to make varsity of a top ten Class A team as sophomores, and you decided to trumpet that out on this message board as a coming sign of Greenway getting back to 2019 levels, and also a sign that there is a problem in the Hibbing youth program. I say you're completely wrong on both counts.
