I see now that the score was Sibley 2 Warroad 1. Still a good win for Sibley.

Moorhead/Bemidji

At the end of the 1st period Bemidji was up 3-0. The three goals they had weren't that great, off shin pads and shafts of sticks. They scored an empty net in the 3rd period also. Moorhead ran 3 defense and 2 lines for pretty much the whole game. They had many scoring opportunities on rebounds but couldn't bury the puck. Bemidji was good, and Erickson is a very good addition to a good club. I can see a very good match up later in the season between the two teams. Why isn't Whitney Restemayer on the team this year, or did I just miss her last night.

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p100.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... yfan819 at: 11/23/05 12:55 pm

brook,

must have been an impressive game for stillwater. hill is a good team.

i hope ssp can give your team a good game saturday. if both teams play the way they can it will be one of the better games of the year to see...

hubbaa,

Ponies played a MUCH better game vs. HM than the previous nights game against Hastings. Still a little slow starting IMO. Hope they avoid that Saturday. Looking forward to a good game. They're creating nice opportunities but obviously about to face their toughest foe to date in net.

FWIW - I think Hastings is going to do some damage this year. Maybe their strong showing against Stillwater was due to an off-day by Stillwater, but I think many teams are going to have to watch out for Hastings come year end...

I think you're right. I spoke to an acquaintance from Hastings at the game Tuesday night who also knows the team pretty well who told me the same. He said they're without a couple key players at present, thinks it'll help a great deal when they return and they will be dangerous as the season progresses.

Also want to make sure and note a slight correction to my earlier post in that the Ponies face their toughest foe overall (obviously) and not JUST in net Saturday night.

Sorry, now back to recent scores.

Hastings is missing Welch - out 8 weeks from soccer injury??? She is one of their best players if not the best on the team.

They also have had some other issues, but have done very well all things considered. They put up 30+ shots against my squad, and I have to say they would have won had it not been for stellar goaltending on my team's end...

hastings...

i was wondering what was going on with the hastings team. when at full strength i think they are a top ten team also..

The scary part of the opposition is that they are all young yet too at Hastings... Watch them this, next, and maybe even the year following...
