Why should they be going to state??? The were a good team, yes, but you have to win in the post-season. Beating up on weak teams all year long does not mean you should be a lock for the state tournament. Other than D3 teams, who did they really beat tha was that good? Maybe Roseau once.

I'm not trying to rip this team, because they were a good team. I just hate hearing that they should have been in state. If you make it to state you are there because they earned it, otherwise its just sour grapes. I could see saying that if they got really unlucky in Regions, but they didn't even make it out of districts for crying out loud. So please stop with the "they should have make it to state".

A very good team that got cold at the wrong time. No need to shove it in their faces. I can only imagine how they feel to be be done. Give them a break. It's over and done with.

mg should of never had two dads coach...it was favortism on the forward end by gross's dad....we played them two or maybe three times this year and he was favored tremendously....although hes a decent player whats up with him and malone on a penalty kill i believe that was a HUGE mistake

Bigtimesnipe,

Easy on the Gross comments here. First of all, It's not his fault his dad is the coach. Maple Grove fired their bantam a coach a week or two before the season and were scrambling to find someone to take the postion and Mr. Gross stepped in to help. 2nd of all, If he isn't very good how did he make the D3 advanced 15 team this past spring and skate on one of the best first lines in the state this year in bantams? Not an easy accomplishment by any means.

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p100.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... LIGHT39 at: 2/22/06 9:59 pm

Gross's Papa

I dont think it was Gross' dad favoring his kid. Gross is one of the impact players on the team. If you were coach who would you stick out there in OT...some first year or one of your best players. And why cant he kill a penalty, he is a smart player. Not to worship him or nothing like that but I dont think its right how you aim it right at his dad. How do you know it wasnt the head coach telling him who to put out.
