got puck, many people on this board think some of the sections should be changed because they are weak. That is why I wrote that response, get it?
AHA 2002 & 2005 State Champions!

AHA scored a bunch of goals in a really short period of time. The rest of the game wasn't that bad from what I've heard. That's why I say that.
AHA 2002 & 2005 State Champions!

nuetron hes right about that... i heard taht also, Eastviews coach was my training teacher... but yeah kodiak, sorry.. i didnt read back in the thread, but either way i dont think sections will ever be competitive between more than 2 teams, or 3 in a few cases

I don't see anybody competing with AHA in 5AA on the horizon. Rosemounts Bantam team is good, but not THAT good. They didn't make the MAHA State Tourney. I think LPH's #5 rank is generous. From their view, looking up at AHA, I don't see that group sticking together either.

does anybody think rosemount would be better off getting out of the lake and having someone else replace them.....

Rosemount's going to be just fine. Five years ago, yeah, maybe they should have gotten out, but what goes around, comes around. They have excellent leadership in Don Micheletti, only graduate two seniors who contributed, have some really good talent coming up from Bantams (so I hear... admit I have not seen any of them play), and have steadily improved over the last two seasons. I think they'll contend in the Lake and 5AA next season... they may not win either one, but they'll be a force to be reckoned with.

The EV vs. AHA game was a lot closer than people think. Just because the score was 6-1, doesnt mean it was a blow-out. EV outplayed AHA for the first 10 min and then AHA got a luck break-away goal that just barely hit the post and went in. After that AHA socred most of their goals in the 2nd within a couple of minutes. From what I herd from other opinions and what I SAW, EV outplayed them in the 1st and most of 3rd. Not denying that AHA is a good team, they are great, its just that 5AA isnt a weak section!

If Holy Angels doesn't win this section, I will be in a shock. They are going to have a great returning team next year...

What makes you think Holy Angels is going to keep all their players? I wouldnt be suprized if some of them went to play juniors or for NTDP...you have to consider things like this with a school who already recruits...did i just say that?

u have no idea about AHA

hockeyman, no need to try and even start that crap again. It's people like you who turn good threads like this to sh*t.

Centerstrikes, thank you for helping prove my point that the EV game was closer than the score and that 5AA is not a weak section.
AHA 2002 & 2005 State Champions!

First off, when did I ever say that "ALL" of their players are returning? I never did. But hey, I can see pretty much that whole team coming back. After all, why not when you know you will have another amazing shot at the state championship?

Even if they lost players (which I'm sure they won't), they will still be very strong. Their program has obviously turned into one of the best in the state, and that has shown for the past 4 years.

I guess the only thing we can do is wait and see... Hopefully (that is if any team can), Rosemount will be able to challenge AHA in 5AA.

maybe they'll be most likely to challenge them.. but i dont see it happening

None of those teams should be able to challenge Holy Angels next year. As long as the whole team returns, which I'm sure they will, they should walk right through that section.

So Hillfan, what do you think about AHA being changed to a different section? Maybe to make things a little more competitive?
