I heard that Danny Mattson was going to play this year, but the varsity coach said that he would not put an eigth grader on the varsity roster, inplace of an upper classman. He told Danny to stay at bantams this year.

Don'y know if there's any truth to that, just what I've heard.

I remember Matson from when I played at Washburn, he was the talk of the organization when he was a squirt. That would be pretty cool though if hes good enough to be on varsity as an 8th grader, wow.
Spittin truf since 85

Actually the transfer from Apple Valley is Ryan McCarthy, he is a very fast skater who play very physical for his small size.

It is true that this young Mattson kid from Washburn is a good player and will be a great player in the future. My guess is that hes good enough to play varsity for AHA next year, even with Trebil favoring upper-classmen. This is very impressive for a young kid to play this type of hockey. Jordan Schroeder, an 8th grader for St. Thomas Academy is in the midst of a huge season right now, being on the first line and top power play and currently has about 34 points... not bad, gonna be fun to watch some of these young studs in the future... hopefully they stick around minnesota high school hockey
