FARIBO v Kato BA game

Game was 2-1 Kato in the 2nd period before Faribo broke it open, scoring four goals in the 3rd. Both teams have a long bench and played all their lines. The Faribo coaches said they play Redwood Falls Friday night, so that should be a great D4 game.

I heard that A.L.'s top three players are out, along with their starting goalie. Should be an easy 'W' for Faribo!

if that is true fbo will dominate from what i have heard the last time they met al's goalie was the only reason they won shots were said to be over 30for fbo with al at 10

If AL had lost its top three players they would only have little more than one line which I really doubt is true

Far. 3 - AL 0. Teske with a nice, hardworking unassisted goal for Far.'s 2nd goal. Looked like it took the wind out of AL's sail's. That kid is a very good player. AL played very hard for having a 9 man bench.

Mankato 2, New Um 1

Great game. Kato had great goaltending.

I heard New Ulm beat Redwood Falls? if this is true, if Mankato won out getting all of their FPP, wouldn't they win the West, with Mankato having only lost one or two FPP, and Redwood losing four?

jackstraw - I see Redwood Falls beat Faribault . . . but RF lost to New Ulm, NU lost to Kato, Fbo beat Kato and ALea beat Fbo. Should be a great District tournament, right?

I agree, it should be a great tourney. I haven't seen RF, so I can't speak for them. I give Far. the edge of the team's I have seen, they have more depth. As stated before, I like the Teske kid; he has played very well in both end's of the rink when I have seen him and he has good speed coming through the NZ. Tournament's are usually decided by goaltender's, AL seems to get the best goaltending. Hopefully they will have all 10 skater's on the bench come dist. tourney time.
I don't "scout" for anyone. I help coach the '93 Jr. Maverick team in the off-season.

It is going to be a heck of a tournament...AL does get solid goaltending, but do you think, even if AL gets their ten skaters back, it still could hurt them in the long run if they have to play two games on a certain day, versus a team with a bigger bench? I don't think there are very many teams in this district that have very good depth past they're first two lines, though..
