So because the coaches say Edina's the best team they should get the gaurenteed easiest schedule? How many Roseau or Grand Rapids games do you think the coaches of Roch, Edina, etc see this year? You need a random draw on the lower four, or the metro teams have an out and out advantage because 9 times out of 10 they'll get the higher ranking. If ranking's showed anything this year its that it's not that accurate with Hill and Edina both losing.hshockfan wrote:I think this shows why only seeding 4 of the teams isn't the best system? It seems like Rapids was a tough draw for the #1 seed. Although, I guess H-M would say they had a tough draw as well!
I think thats just it, the overall pool in the AA bracket is much closer in ability than A, thats why weve had "upsets" in the AA side.i play hockey wrote:it looks like the field in AA is much closer than A.
Exactly!61ache wrote:So because the coaches say Edina's the best team they should get the gaurenteed easiest schedule? Yes, the #1 seed should have the easiest schedule. That is how seeding works. The seeded teams losing shows the field is close this year. However, point taken.61ache wrote:So because the coaches say Edina's the best team they should get the gaurenteed easiest schedule? I think the rankings were fine. Grand Rapids was seeded based on how they played the whole season, not just games Patrick White played. Century has a fine team, but didn't show it until later in the season. Same with Burnsville.61ache wrote: If ranking's showed anything this year its that it's not that accurate with Hill and Edina both losing.
Yeah, where are all the Rapids is overrated/overhyped people now(DFORCE)? How about the people calling for Reider's head and to put the backup in? I'm guessing we won't hear of those folks anymore. Get ready for a nordern finals boyz!chedderhead69 wrote:Stifiling defense by Rapids and some solid saves by Rapids goalie. Very nice game for the Thunderhawks.
Roseau and Rapids have a lot of work on Friday night before they can think about Saturday night. I agree though, it would be great if it came to that.schwang17 wrote:Yeah, where are all the Rapids is overrated/overhyped people now(DFORCE)?
