That would be awesome but it will depend on whether they stay D1 or move to D3... All that pends on whether they can get the new rink built before '09... It would be sweet to see Zach and Tyler on the same team.

Personally, I dont think he will drop to BSU. He has the skills to play WCHA puck and while I sincerely want him to go to BSU I would like to see him play at the highest possible level.

BSU cannot move to BSU without changing all their sports programs.
Football and basketball will not go down....

Its D1 or nothing.

The current hinge is on raising the money (somewhat connected to the new rink as part of it is selling the corporate/luxury boxes - which is going quite well).

The event center pretty much is going; depending on the committment from the state (which was previously given).
If the land negotiations can be completed (which it seems they will); and the BSU renatl agreement worked out; work will probably begin in July.

Young Lehrke in Beaver green would be nice. :D

I would assume that PR didnt play him that game or if they did, only a small role. There would be no reason to play a stud against a team in their inaugural season...
He played the entire game, and truly looked over-rated.

Lehrke played the whole game - no sitting for that hard working boy--siouxrecruit, you certainly know this, you are a PR guy, possibly a Lehrke, from reading all past posts. You are certainly the #1Lehrke promoter and sound like you have seen every game.

Yes he did play the whole game. Although im not a Lehrke nor a promoter...I am a fan of him and I was also a fan of his brother Tyler(BSU)...they are both extremly fun to watch...and I would like to go to every game but since Im in Fargo its tough...probably not so much this year...can someone explain Walkers defense? It seemed very unorthodox..but a plus for Walker is their goalie..he is by far their best player..he stopped some tough shots..the ones that made it through the whole walker team

Mariucci Conference
Roseau (1-0)
East Grand Forks (1-0)
Crookston (0-0)
Moorhead (0-0)
Warroad (0-0)
Thief River Falls (0-1)
Bemidji (0-1)

I've always thought that: (Mariucci) + (Fergus Falls) should = 8AA

The only program that would drop down if the boys hockey does is the girls hockey, which has been pretty non-existent as is. According to NCAA standards they would be allowed to drop to D3 because the rule states that each sport must be within 1 sport difference. Meaning since the boys basketball, girls basketball, girls soccer and football teams are D2, hockey would be D3, they would be within 1 level drop.

I also think that they will stay D1 but I have no clue what conference they will go to. WCHA (mainly the gophs) seems to have a problem playing BSU.

On the other note, Lehrke bros would be fun to watch in Bemidji colors. However I do not see that happening unless Tyler talks him into it.

I'm with you elliot but 7AA might need Brainerd's services. I have a grand vision for two entirely flannelistic sections again and if some of those rangers don't bone up, Brainerd will need to head northeast, not northwest.

It looks like most of section 8A has traveled way south for the weekend in hopes of some warmer temps, sunnier skies, a round of golf perhaps and of course, some victories.

Fri Dec 7
Crookston @ St. Paul Johnson: The Lion's Cup is up for grabs and the Pirates will retain
Thief River Falls @ Blake: TRF will get their legs back for tomorrow's matinee
Warroad @ Mound-Westonka: To Mound it's a huge game, to War it's just a win
Park Rapids @ St. Paul Como Park: This schedule will produce wins
Lake of the Woods @ Orono: running time vs. Warroad on Tues points to a loss here
Bagley-Fosston @ Prairie Center: that's for you newsguy35
Walker-Hackensack-Akeley @ Ely: pounded Bagley, should pound Walker too

Enjoy the vacation fellas!

Thanx much! haha yea hopefully we can come out flying tonight... Its been a tough go of it lately with injuries and health problems. We finally get everyone back tonight.

What happened to Warroad last night? I heard something like Red River put up 7 on them? Hopefully they can get it back goin.

Congrats to Moorhead on last nights win in Bemidji, what a great game. Moorhead didnt win it as convincingly as the score shows. It was 3-2 for a while but Bemidji just couldnt put it away.
