One team won, and one team not so much.
One team was a pretty big underdog, one team should've never lost to their opponent.
Yup, the unranked basketball team beat #20 Indiana,
while the Goph's hockey team lost in 2 OT's to ahem, Mankato...
Truely...A dream come true Or nightmare?

What a beautiful night of sports is was last night.

My two favorite teams, the Stars and Wild both declined to take commanding control of the respective series' in an attempt to make sure they aren't stuck with a long, momentum killing, lay off between between the 1st and 2nd rounds should they decide to advance.

The small market, tiny payroll Twins played their little hearts out again last night against that star studded Detroit Tiger outfit. The Twins didn't win but they sure gave DET all they could handle.

What a dream come true this spring is becoming.

The Twins looked sick in Detroit
Oh yes, we have the bullpen blues
But just havin Baseball back
Hey, Its Like a Dream Come True

The Wild ran out of gas in Colorado
An early bedtime did ensue
But we have a team in the playoffs
For around here, It's Like Dream Come True

Well TT, its true.

Which reminds me of what Sandra Day O'Conner once said..

"There is no shortage of lawyers in Washington, DC. In fact, there may be more lawyers than people."

And also this from Mark Twain...

"It is interesting to note that criminals have multiplied of late, and lawyers have also; but I repeat myself."

Lawyers and Alligators

Two alligators are sitting on the edge of a swamp. The small one turns to the big one and says, "I don't understand how you can be so much bigger than I am. We're the same age, we were the same size as kids... I just don't get it."
"Well," says the big alligator, "what have you been eating?"
"Lawyers, same as you," replies the small alligator.
"Hmm. Well, where do you catch 'em?"
"Down at that law firm on the edge of the swamp."
"Same here. Hmm. How do you catch 'em?"
"Well, I crawl under a BMW and wait for someone to unlock the door. Then I jump out, bite 'em, shake the crap out of 'em, and eat 'em!"
"Ah!" says the big alligator, "I think I see your problem. See, by the time you get done shakin' the crap out of a lawyer, there's nothing left but lips and a briefcase..."

I shouldn't.....but here goes.

Whats the difference between a dead skunk on the road and a dead lawyer on the road?

There are skid marks in front of the skunk.

God decided to take the devil to court and settle their differences once and for all.

When Satan heard this, he laughed and said, "And where, my friend, do you think you're going to find a lawyer?"

As the lawyer slowly came out of the anesthesia after surgery, he said, "Why are all the blinds drawn, doctor?"

"There's a big fire across the street," the doctor replied. "We didn't want you to think the operation had been a failure."

Yuk, yuk, yuk. You boys crack me up.

But when you guys get pulled over at 2:00AM in front of the bar ; or when your wife wipes out the bank account and takes off with your best friend; or when you get sued by your neighbor to move that retaining wall............call your plumber.

As for you elliott, I am sending you some stretching exercises so you can increase your flexibility and get that right shoulder turned so you can get to the wallet a little quicker. Of course , the first thing is you will have to stop diving under the table when the check comes.

But here is one of my personal favorites:

Two robbers break into an exclusive club whose membership consists exclusivley of lawyers and rob them at gunpoint They are surprised at the resisitence put up by the lawyers but they never the less escape with some money.

After counting the cash, one of the robbers says "Well it wasnt so bad, we got out of there with $1,000". The other robber says " Yah but we went in with 2,000".

YES: It Can Happen for the Dallas Stars as they've got the defending Champs on the ropes.

With all this legal talk around here, Justice Shanty is going to grant certiorarri on the LeMaire vs. Quenneville Case. Numerours appeals have been granted as this case has flowed through the five lower courts, a final holding is near.

As for the Boys of Summer, I believe they have a great chance at being the best 70some win team in the leag.....make that both leagues this year.

The grass is now green, the birds are singing, the hastas are punching through the topsoil, panzies are on sale everywhere, gas has stablized at 3.59/gal now for two whole days, and three of my favorite teams are still working hard for their dreams making this day like a dream come true.

Your right pb, there are many GOOD lawyers too. Its just a shame that 99% of the lawyers give the whole profession a bad name...

I feel the same way IS.

Everything is just great.

How can you beat going to a high school baseball game in the middle of April all bundled up in winter clothes and having the brown grass still covered by patches of snow in the outfield where the fence shades the grass. Perfect.

The Wild look sickly so we wont have to worry about spending 100 flippin dollars to watch a hockey game for much longer.I t's just terrific the way they almost score.

The Twins look very much like a .500 team.

The Twolves won 20 games. so thats a real source of enthusiasm.

Ill tel yah, it's all so specila...its like....well, It's Like a Dream Come True.

Everything is just super.

The Wild can now get the rest they so deserve after their long physically demanding season.

The Stars are still rolling thanks to a big 4 goal eruption in the third period last night to send home the Ducks for the season.

The Twins also erupted this weekend, they smacked the ball around the dome on their way to two wins and five runs.

Thanks to the recent rain and sunshine my yard looks great, the dandeleons are now in bloom and a medley of broadleaf vegetation has made my lawn look greener than ever.

Yup, it's the Dreamiest.

The Wild almost scored so many goals... it was fantastic.

Gaborick had the finest performance we've seen since Dave Winfield in the World Series. It must have been Like a Nightmare

The Twins look like a solid .500 team and will do nothing to change that.

With the NFL draft coming up, maybe we can grab another WR like Troy Williamson or something.

Its all just great......well, It's Like a Dream Come True

The Twins had six games this week and they went on to score points in four of them, I'd say that is pretty darn good.

The Minnesota football Vikings acquired some new faces over the weekend and from what I can tell, all of them know that the team plays in Minnesota.

The Stars grabbed a 2-0 lead in their best of seven, Western Conference Semi-final with the fish last night. Modano isn't 22, heck he isn't even 32 anymore but he still looks like that highly skilled, mulletted, gust of wind that used to blow across Met Center Ice much the way cold fronts seem to be doing this spring.

It's unbelievable how great things are right now, some great baseball, some great football, and a hockey season with the appropriate weather just refusing to go away.

After the baseball Nightmare which was the series in Texas, I had a Dream.

I dreamed that MLB had decided to contract and merged the Twins and the Texas Rangers into one team. Just like when The Cleveland Barons and the Minnesota North Stars merged.

Ill tell yah, it would be Like a Dream Come True.
