I saw the replay on TV and a Grand Rapids player lowered his head and smashed into Ellingson, therefore preventing him from beign able to play the puck.
Watch closely. #21 in orange is swinging at the puck to try to bat in the rebound. That is why his head was down. Good play, good goal.
Yes, thats true. But, He ran into the goalie and it was clearly goaltender interference, lets agree to disagree.

Although the first goal was very questionable, it really didn't seem to matter much. Grand Rapids out played Cloquet the whole game, and to me there was no chance the score was going to shift with Ryder playing as well as he did in the third period! The best team that showed up won and everything else does not matter, although Ellingson and Johnson did deserve some credit for being some of the better players in state!

I believe once Cloquet took the early lead in the first they started playing to not lose the game. In the second Cloquet just looked flat and could not get anything working for them because of Rapids good defensive physical play. Cloquet did turn it around in the third but just could not score. Clearly anyone at this game could tell that Rapids was playing better then the Jacks.

agree 150%. Cloquet came out raedy to play but then just slowly stopped trying I think.

Oh and to all of the rapids student section... Don't talk like your big and bad unless you can back it up. other wise another GR fan will get knocked out. Witnessed it with my own eyes. funniest thing I've seen in a LONG TIME.

Hopefully the T-Chicks will represent Section 7 well at the X
