In yet another classless but humorous antic, a high school streaker was nabbed at the GR vs EGF homecoming game football game for GR. The masked runner was tackled near the north end zone by a heavy set bystander who showed great form and burried the poor kid and was led out in shame. Questions arose from the stands as to why the streaker was not recruited to play football as he ran the 100 in about 9 seconds. :-k FYI GR evened their record at 3-3 after an 0-3 start. When's hockey season start by the way?
If I am not mistaken wasn'tit homecoming this weekend? Could it possibly have been the same streaker that was there a couple of years ago???

Although a 6-0 record is nice...IMO the next 2 games will say more then what's been accomplished so far, a win over Becker, and then Cambridge.
The quality wins to date have been Spring Lake Park and STMA, other then those 2 the only thing that speaks to the strength of Rogers is the point spreads of the wins.[/img]

In East's case, there is little standing in the way between now and the State Tournament. Overall, 7AAAA is fairly weak. The only question mark at this point is the status of quarterback Skyler Murray, who hurt his shoulder in the Denfold game.

If I'm not mistaken the only way they can meet is a State Championship game and there are some good teams to go through to get there for Rogers.
Having to get past STMA , or Becker in the section....and then any of STA, Fergus, or Mankato West at state just to get to da Hounds!
Putting the cart before the horse a little though.

Yeah, I didn't check out the tournament brackets on mshsl.org. But how fun would a game like that be? Granted, it's not hockey but still....

Of course any Rogers team making it to state is quite a deal for a young program.
Brackets are top 4 vs 1 and 7 vs 6 bottom 3 vs 2 and 8 vs 5

  Andover...  NW powerhouse   we`ll see in a couple of weeks what kind of "powerhouse" they are when the face Blaine
Lets see Blaine split into 2 schools and in a mere 5 years the new team beat the school they split off from...that is the interesting part, as far as the next powerhouse I was speaking in terms a bit longer then this season! :?

They didn`t really "split" at the time, Blaine lost about 100 kids as compared to Anoka who lost over 300 kids to the "split", Andover has beat Blaine 3 times since the "split",it will take quite some time before "any" of Andovers teams become powerhouses.

Yeah yeah...

You evidently haven't seen the tv commercials running at all hours of the day and night on Channel 9 telling everybody to go watch the game over and over on FoxPreps.com.

I had it streaming at the time the VP debate was going on, so I set my headphones down to go focus in on the debate when I thought Johnson had it under control, then out of the blue I heard a ton of yelling and screaming coming from the headphones across the room, and I was able to catch the aftermath. What a disaster.

The good news is that with the loss, it should get us an earlier opportunity to knock around HM in the section tournament. :D

Moorhead at Bemidji tomorrow night (10/10).

Big game for both.
Give Bemidji a winning regualr season and good spot in play-offs.
I am taking Bemidji by 10.

He would throw out all statistical data and rational thought and emotionally put East at #2 as to not raise suspicions that he really believes they should be #1

Has a Minnesota HS football team ever gone out of state and won?

It seems like everytime I hear about a team going somewhere they get killed. Minnetonka got beat pretty good last night.

CDH got thumped a few years ago and they were very good that season. (as always, Catholics rule.).

As strong as Minnesota is in hockey , we seem to be pretty weak in football compared to other states.

This trickles up to the U.

For all the same reasons...down south they do football all year long, they eat, drink and sleep it..if ya get my drift.

I wonder how Govs alternate team Wayzata would have faired...?
Where is Rockhurst rated nationally??

Big high school football night in the media for any other couch potatoes out there...

* Edina vs. Stillwater on FSN
* Kennedy vs. Eden Prairie on national tv on CSTV (Channel 613 on Directv.. those of you who don't have Directv need to figure it out yourselves... and get a real provider. :-) )
* And there are a couple schlub teams nobody really cares about on FoxPreps. Roger-something and Becke-something I guess... Never heard of either of them.
