Apple Valley-3
Edina Green-5
SHOTS
AV-22
Edina-22
Both teams played well though. Valley got all 3 goals from 1 line that was a problem. Edina's goalie played well even though giving up 3 he kept this game in their hands. Officiating was good until the 3rd Valley got called for a bad hooking call that gave Edina a PP that made the game 5-3. Also the ref was looking right at an Edina kid when he took his stick to a AV kids throat and later a holding the stick that was very obvious. He was afraid to call them on anything all night kinda. Edina scored on all three PP chances, 2 of 3 were the 4th and 5th goals. Good game though both teams played well and really wanted to win this one. Both teams can compete with high level teams from tonight's game. Valley won the earlier meeting between the 2 teams this year.

Apple Valley advances to championship tonight not sure against who though I would guess against Duluth East which would make for a great final Apple Valley ranked #15 and Duluth East at #11 by LPH.

St. Cloud Tourny
DE Red 9
Marshall 1
DE Red 0
Sibley 5 (empty net)
Looks like we missed out on the final four by a point. Horrible point structure to determine the rankings in a tournament. Hope they look at changing that for future years. Refs in Sibley game could not have been worse.
I think championship game is AV vs. Chisago Lakes.
3rd vs. 4th is Buffalo vs. ?

Surprised by the score from the Sibley game, DE just not bring the right stuff? I could see it being close I know AV and Sibley went to a shootout in a previous tournament by the score is very surprising though. I agree the point system is an interesting one.
Valley and Chisago Lakes played earlier this year in a tournament and AV lost 6-3. Valley has been playing much better since that loss though and it should be a good game. Since then beating teams like Chaska, Edina, WBL and ties with EP and Edina.

Steely eyed, resplendent in his Skipper jacket, striding purposefully towards Pagel on Sunday was none other than Blueblood!
Can it then be any surprise that the Skippers turned up with their most inpsired performance in weeks?
We need you Blue! The Skippers finish the season at Pagel, every game. Would love to see you there.
Your son....
