Sorry... FoxPreps had it posted that way for most of the afternoon, and for some reason I went along with it.
That what I get for trusting Fox I guess!

That's only because you're not used to seeing teams play which have legitimate post-season aspirations.

Yuk it up.
As long as Wayzata keeps winning, I'm not above staying on the bandwagon...
Just don't expect to see me along for the ride during hockey season.

Rogers falls 20-9 to Becker.
Can someone make sure CNT is alright and didn't drown himself in Royal Burgers?

Well, I'll say this about the Rogers football team...
Their uniforms look a lot better than the hockey team's. Sharp.

It was a disappointment but Becker is a good team, strong running game, and a good O-line.
I also like their QB...... and this kids only a soph !!
Anyway hopefully they get a shot in the sections to redeem themselves....meanwhile we'll still be pounding down the Royal burgers and cheering for the Royals.
Oh yeah I watched a little of it on Foxpreps until I couldn't take it and just went to the game, I'll be stuttering and stopping for no reason now all day.
Is that the way the feed is or just my Atari desktop??

Buffalo, Becker and Royal Burgers tie for M-8 crown if they all win Weds...Buffalo will pummel Big Lake and Becker will pummel Princeton...however, the Royals have a tough test in Cambridge who is big and strong but not explosive...Look for three way tie and for Buffalo to get two seed in section 85A...M8 football pretty good, STMA has a tough club as well..

Bluejackets need to bring back George Larson to be on the sidelines for this one. Sorry CNT - I hope Cambridge can pull an upset.

Hell, not this time! - Cambridge hardly has what one would call a soccer program. Not even in England

They were pretty decent a few years ago.

Big weekend at Casa de Govs this weekend as the Governors held on to the Hatchet Trophy by defeating Harding (sorry Dmom) 43-18, and Wayzata defeated Burnsville 70-0.
The Hornets are coming out to our neck of the woods on Wednesday. Since Anders Lee seems to reside strictly in the end zone, it'll be fun to see how often he can get there against the stingy Trojan defense. So far, Wayzata has outscored their opponenets 346-62. It should be a good matchup.

It went unnoticed, but Wayzata (81) leapfroged Eden Prairie (87) a couple of weeks ago in the national
Top 100 poll.
Somehow, a 70-0 win caused them to drop from 76 to 81.

I'm longing for the day that that damn machine does something that it can be programmed to handle...

Tonight, in games involving Duluth's three public schools:
East over Detroit Lakes 51-8??!! I thought East would win but no way did I expect that margin of victory. The Hounds end their regular season at 8-0, having outscored their opponents 321-67.
Congrats go out to the Central Trojans for defeating their cross-town rivals Denfeld 25-20.
By the way, looking at the Varsity Online rankings for Class AAAA, it looks rather odd to see "Mahtomedi (1-6)" at the top.

Edina finally gave Wayzata a game, losing only 16-10. The Trojans will open in the 5AAAAA semis against either Maple Grove or Cooper.
The Govs won their Minneapolis-St. Paul "inter-city" matchup beating Southwest 34-12. The whole Mahtomedi mess throws a wrench into the 4AAAA seedings, so it's conceivable that Johnson could end up with the #1 seed and open against North Branch. If not, they will probably end up #2 and play Dmom's Harding Knights.

At the risk of sounding like I'm taking another cheapshot at CNT... That's not the intent here, but it's an added bonus

... Good win for CI.
As I've stated before, my brother, Govs98, lives in Isanti so my nephew, Jackets21, will likely end up going to school there, so I'm developing a bit of a rooting interest for them... Just get rid of the 1950's socks.
Damn Mrs. Govs and her Bravo...
