Since you will ask . . .
Shots
(Unofficial) Black 12, Red 41
(Official) Black 14, Red 34
And yes . . .
Blasy played and played well, but more of a team win.
The way that game was played I am surprised that is the total for shots. To my untrained eyes it looked like Black was taking it to Red during the second and then Red took over in the third.

I heard St. Cloud was not called for any penalties when AV played either of their 2 teams in the tournament and was sent to the box for some pretty bad calls. Was not there just what I heard, I know someone else said they had horrible ref's also.

We only had one game with questionable calls and that was against Sibley. Started out with the first goal - goalie had saved a wrap around, which the ref, standing by the net had whistled dead. When the goalie was getting up after the whistle, his pad slid back and the puck crossed the line. Sibley players standing by raised their sticks, both refs looked at each other and then said it was a goal. Called a couple of weak interference penalties, and holding that were good plays. Didn't call about three tripping penalties on Sibley. Who knows if it would have changed the game that much, but it certainly deflated the team in a hurry after outshooting them in the first period (Sibley defense did a great job in front of their net all game long). Game is hard enough, you don't need a ref that feels he needs to be the #1 star of the game.

What has happened to the days when you tipped your hat to the winner & left the field of play with class ... it always seems to be the fault of someone else when the desired outcome isn't achieved ...

Like I said I was not there but it's shame when that happens too and you get homer refs, would it have made a difference and given AV the game with a better crew? Perhaps but St. Cloud could have still won also, I don't know that cause I was not there like I said, would have made for a better game though at least.

You'll never know when ol'blue will show up.
I had to come see for myself, why this team wasn't scoring goals.
A good win for Tonka, but that was not the Edina White team that blue saw play the last two seasons.

Wow, thats a new one. Anyways, I have to give it to East, they have a very sound, disciplined team. They work very well together. Well played!
As far as being cheap, Moose lake played a very good game also. I'd hate for you to recognize that. The refs could have controlled the game better, but in no way did I see one team cheaper than the other. Both physical teams. Don't ruin a very good game, the kids deserve better.

I was just about to give you a prediction when I checked the web to find that Prior Lake defeated Edina Green 2-1. Looks like they both lost their Fair Play points, too. Prior Lake is not to be taken lightly, but still a shock.
The D6 race is way to close to call at this point. Still lots of games between all the top teams. Just another 9 horse race to the finish.
Where is our AV correspondent with an update on the game the other night with Edina White? hockeyjunkie2, is that you we should be hearing from?
Green versus Red tonight in a rescheduled matchup. Red is playing much better in defeating Minnetonka and Green takes a hit at the hands of Prior Lake. Forget a prediction - there's just no way.

Blue:
Do not arrive until tomorrow. However, and entire Battalion is purported to have descended upon GR today. By this time, the dice may be rolling and the BS flowing.
Will arrive JIT for action Friday and hopefully we can beat a tough Maple Grove squad, they tested us at the Silver Stick.
Will provide you with a full report as soon as I am able.

All I know about it is the AV coaches where not to bright, they had a weekend tournament the boys played 4 games on SAT and SUN practiced on MON and then had this game TUES, should have prolly given the boys the MON off.
