blue is upset with KOHO, Guru & his "son" for lack of reporting from 'da range.
Must be an intense dice game in the ice shanty or a loss today.
So which is it?

Superior Tourn. Championship Game
DE Red 3
Edina White 4
two rounds of shoot out.
A bit tainted as Edina had a player change jerseys to go through the second round, and they tried to send another through that didn't change. On the winning shot, the shooter lost control of the puck and skated ahead of it, but ref allowed it.
Very good game, would have been better if they could have won it a little more fairly.

Sorry, I have trouble buying all that . . .
They are cake-eaters by history and geography, but still have more integrity than those type of shenanigans. Got any video?

That seemed to be the trend of the weekend at Superior. The worst weekend for referees I've ever seen. The best game of refs that I saw was the Moose Lake vs Superior game. Evenly called, and only when needed.
Too bad the Moose Lake vs East game had to be ruined by the refs. I'm looking forward to Thursday night, should be a great game.
What about those Canadiens?!? WOW

Sorry Blue...
Tonka lost in a shootout 2-1 to Moorehead (you will recall the coaches). Tonka woke up in the third and the OT and had lots of chances to win - tieing the game with about 5 mins left in regulation.
Every shootout makes someone happy and in this case it was Moorhead.
The skippers grabbed 3rd place with the strongest game in a while vs WBL -Black, a 2-1 win. Again many scoring chances. Shots 34-19 for Tonka.
That is all!

Not looking for your affirmation. It is however another example of why games should be more than one 5 minute overtime and not going to a shootout at this level.
Again, it was a very good game, I hope we get a chance to play them again.

So a little deja vu' with tonka vs. WBL baclk for third place (Ia seem to recall playing that team a few times last year)
But alas, the Skippies bring home the 3rd place hardware this year...

Star of the North Championship:
Eagan beats Moorhead 7-6. Eagan dominated the first two periods, going up 6-2 to end the 2nd. Moorhead rallied in the third but couldn't quite get there.

Refs are refs, players are players and coaches spend most of their time thinking of songs to request while in the Holiday Inn in Fargo.
2 weeks until the Moorhead tilt...
It's cold and teams are starting to battle it out weekly. Eagles and Horses still rank high, boats are not too far behind. The insects are still a team to be taken into any discussion. Let's not forget the upsets as the WBL team proved last season...
Good times and cold feet await all who venture north in 2 weeks.
Fargo Tournament

Semis:
EP Red ties Stillwater 1 to 1, EP wins shootout (terrible way to resolve a tourney game) 2-1. Great game to watch, both teams played well.
Championship:
EP Red ties Fargo Flyers 0-0, Fargo wins shootout (terrible way to resolve a tourney game) 1-0. Great game. Fargo goalie had 52 saves in 5 on 5 play (3 periods and 1 five minute OT), and all 5 in OT. EP goalie had 27 saves in his shutout and saved all but one trickler in the shootout.

Mn Man....Is that a typo on 52 saves, no goals? The Gophers could use this guy....

No, that is the correct what you read. Add another 5 to it for the shootout. i know they dont count on the scoresheet, but none the less. I was able to watch this game, very good effort by both teams!! It was fast paced, good chances for both teams, just an overall great game to watch!! Hats off to Fargo, they did it with 9 skaters!! would love to see a rematch to this one!!
