No doubt Luverne is the faster team. Hutch needs to figure out how to make the second passes and get shots at the goal. Lot of skating into the corner and getting stuck.
2-1 Luverne after 2

Luverne really starting to assert their will. Luverne is bigger faster and stronger than hutch. However, this thing can go either way with a bounce as it stands now.

I don't know about stronger. Faster and taller for sure.

Hutch just misses, Cards go down and scorein a wraparound......3-1....11 minutes left.
Seems like the officials don't have a clue about icing.....both ways

No clue at all. The completely missed no icing call on that sequence helped lead to goal there.

notTONIGHT's 3 takeaways from tonight.
1. Officials need to learn what icing is. Truly baffling something so simple is that challenging.
2. Hats off to both goalies. Luverne got SAVES tonight.
3. Stupid penalties my god.
If I'm Marshall, who I predict will win tonight. I don't do anything but run powerplay tomorrow at practice. The entire session. This will be the difference maker Wednesday.

There was an icing call where the Luverne defenseman got the puck, I swear, 10 ft from the goal line.......Luverne's 3rd goal was pretty but I don't know why it wasn't icing.
Ericson made some big saves in the second to keep it 1-1 in the first half of the period, The Hutch goalie did the same most of the game.....I think Luverne outshot Hutch by a 2-1 margin.
Was every penalty interference? It seemed like it.

I know how to cover my bases.
SCBlueLiner wrote:I didn't take it as sarcasm because the statement is true. There are 5 USHL teams located in Iowa with two more on the border in Omaha and Sioux Falls. So yeah, you can find the best collection of HS aged talent in the country down in Iowa.
Or maybe you meant it sarcastically. Anyway, I am confused.
Roll Cards Roll? Is that how I am supposed to end a post in the 3A thread?
Yes, I'm well aware that Iowa (and neighboring areas) have USHL teams. I made that comment because I thought it was obvious that my post about Duluth being 17 hours from 3A land wasn't to be taken seriously, but it earned a snippy reply nonetheless...sigh.
But, yes. Roll Cards Roll!

Man, that RWV top line logs a ton of minutes......
Marshall must have got an earful during the break, they seem like a different team.
