sibley scored in the 2nd and ssp was able to tie it up toward the middle of the third. shots were something like 50-15 in favor of ssp. sibley's goalie played an excellent game and really kept her team in it and both teams battled very hard. the winning goal came with less than a minute left in OT.

This may have been more a matter of convenience since immediately following there was an important boys game (Hill Murray vs. BSM - both ranked in Top 10). According to my wife Channel 11 showed clips of both games.

P.S. Hill Murray came back from being 2 goals down to win 3-2 in OT.

Awesome game....Edina scored twice in first period on a delayed penalty and then a powerplay. Second period was 1-1. BSM came back with two in the third to tie and had several chances to score the 4th and out shot Edina 10-3. Excellent hockey and great fans

Well said - this was girls high school hockey at its very best. Two very talented teams giving it their all and going down to the wire. Interesting to see so many EP girls there scouting - should be a very interesting sectional playoff!

Congrats to Minnetonka for this upset! Word on the street is that Minnetonka has NEVER beat Wayzata. Well deserved for this hard working team and coaching staff. Look for Minnetonka to become very competetive in the next few years as they have a strong wave of youth coming in.

If it's a tie that late in the game I send out my best player to do nothing but shadow this kid. She's scored more late GWG's than anyone I think.

Gutty performance by Wayzata as they try to get their mojo back. EP looks more mortal every game.

Feste let go with a slap shot from fairly far out and hit the pipe on the top corner, shows she has more than one way to beat you even when you think she's covered.
