cmon I believe benilde could be considered the best, especially with the determination and heart they have, but it is to bad tonka could not make it as well as a wild card, since section 1AA is pretty weak with one of the lakeville teams going to state.

1. Bill Belichick rule in taking out best player: Ness
2. Points: get shot on goal and charge net for rebounds
3. When close on Lee, shoot high

Easier said than done though.

The Rams are the defending champs and they haven't lost this season. Until someone beats them, they're the best.

I don't think Edina can win it all with that goal tending displayed last night. Maybe that was just an off night??

No cashetta isnt that good of goalie, he has to play the 3 of the best games of his life for them to stand a chance

Perhaps I watched a different game, but I saw one bad goal & two that were not his fault and would probably have been put past any other goalie in the state.

Doc, you saw it right. I just watched the highlights. For some reason he didn't cover the post on the first one and the wide angle shot went in. After that he was fine.

Edina would not get 50 shots against Roseau. If thats what your getting at.

True, Ogee. And Roseau wouldn't hold them to 8.

I think edina would put up about 30 to 35 SOG versus roseau

I'd bet even money that Roseau plays Edina in the championship game.

If Mike Lee is playing at the top of his game, then game over...Roseau wins. No question about it.

If Lee plays mediocre, then it's going to be a toss-up.

It all hinges on Lee (no pressure there!!)...

Edina would not get 50 shots against Roseau. If thats what your getting at.

Nope, only Edina has a one dimensional team. Where 3 player on two different lines make up 70% of the offense. If you look at Roseau's stats you'll see the point spread out over 3 lines and d-men. Ness can not put a point and still depend on Nelson, Fabian, Oliver, well the list goes on really

both teams are great ill give it to edina for coming out of a very tough section and ill give it to roseau for an undefeated season so far but if these teams do make it to state it wont be until the championship because they will be the number 1 and 2 seed and because edina uses a very short bench(they play the buddish everson and lee line every other shift) it could possibly be an issue for those 3 kids with there size to be playing 3 games in 3 days at the tourny with the amount of minnutes that they get...another factory is the goalies and roseau is obviously withe the upper hand at this point but these are the best 2 teams in state so either team can win and if we see them play eachother.. it will be one of the best games ever for the state championship

The only time Edina was the best consistently was when a ranger Willard Ikola-Mr. iron range hockey god to you- was coaching Edina. But alas those days are gone and the Hornet's stingers have never been or will be as great again........

I'm looking forward to seeing a Roseau Finals against Edina. Both teams are obviously incredibly strong at both ends of the ice. But, Roseau is the team with the superior netminder, without question. And, as most hockey observers will agree, the team with the hot goaltender is probably the team to beat when it comes to tournament play (a good team with a goalie doing magic tricks between the pipes will almost always beat an excellent team with a (merely) good goalie). And, Mike Lee is the real deal. He has a GAA of less than 0.9, a SV% of about 0.95, a perfect record as a varsity goalie, and experience leading the Rams to the Class AA championship in 2007. And, the team he's playing in front of is not merely "good." On top of that, he's from the hockeytown in northern Minnesota with the greatest tradition of high school hockey, not only in the state but, probably, in all of the USA!!!
