4 games? For a check from behind? I thought it was just a match penalty. Current game and next game.

Who determines that he's out for 4 games?

i think since its his second time getting kicked out of a game its automatically 2 games. im not 100% sure where the other two games come from but thats just how it is..

Bylaw 206 of the state HS handbook states that on the second and subsequent ejection a player has to miss the next 4 scheduled games.
There goes the state scoring title! I wonder what Jutting thinks of this?

eaglescout06 wrote:If west is as good of team that I and everyone thinks they are they should be able to roll three lines. In a game such as LeSuer they should have played the third with just the 3rd and 4th lines. But I'm sure coach Essay is doing whatever he thinks needs to be done to win the game. So when will they know how long he will be out? Does West have any big games coming up that he will miss?
Pretty hard to play the 4th line when you only dress 10 forwards. Lose 1 and you have 9 forwards. 2nd and 3rd lines saw the majority of the ice in the 3rd

Manuel is from Germany. He will be gone next season. Tim Johnson is also a junior goalie that has been ineligible this year. He will be back soon and will be tough in the net for La Crescent next year.
If he is ineligable all year, what makes you think he will be able to play next year? Lot of time to get in trouble before them.[/quote]

I think he learned his lesson. Only time will tell. It would be too bad if he screws up his senior year.

My guess is Jutting is not really worrying about this. He's probably thinking, how the heck did we blow that game against Duluth last night after leading 3-1 in the third.

true. if anyone was there to see the hit, you'll know that the kid he hit couldn't even skate. leivermann glided around the net, basically holding the kid's hips, then tried to get his shoulder around the kid, hit his back and the kid fell. i can see a 10+2 but i'm no one, including jutting, could be mad at corey since the call wasnt the right call

leivermann

if he gets an ejection towards the end of the season he could be out for the playoffs. i guess you'd say he was "skating on thin ice". pun intended :)

Eagle, what do you got against leivermann? You seem very content that this kid is out for the next four games. By the sounds of who saw the hit, it doesn't seem the hit was that big. Are you saying that Mankato West is going to be terrible without Leivermann? I have seem them all play, and I have watched them play without Corey, and they still work just as hard, if not harder to make sure they can fill in his shoes. So why don't you tell us what your so happy about Leivermann out for four games?

Perhaps Lievermann will quit trying to take guys from behind.

It's a very dangerous play, there is a reason that the penalties are very severe.

Say all you want about it being a bad call, you just can't put yourself in that position to be nailed with a penalty like that.

Hopefully, Leivermann can avoid those hits from now til the rest of the season. He is very lucky to only be out for two game instead of four. Anyone know what the final decision was, or how it got cut to two games?

I, too, heard that his suspension is only 2 games vs 4....also a reliable source. So that means Mankato West will not have him for Shakopee and Minnehaha. I understand neither team is that strong. But, does anyone know how Shakopee beat Red Wing in OT yesterday????
Finally, it's good to see you back on the forum, Soup21 :)

RW seems to be a very inconsistent team. They seem to play great against tougher competition and then go and play down to teams they should beat. They play a very physical style from the game I saw, but do not seem to have overall team speed. Still a very dangerous team

i 'have' nothing personal against leivermann. he sounds like he's having a great season.i was just raising the point that if he isn't careful he could end up watching the section games from the bench. sorry if the little bit of humor set you off.i believe west had a couple of other ejections earlier. didn't one involve a head slash? which could put that kid on the hot seat also. i'm sure west would be a contender for the section even without him, but why wouldn't west always play their hardest, with or without him?

Any big section games this week.

AL goes to East, hosts Austin, then goes to Century. The Century game should be the only test.
