I agree with the Dick Johnson comment. He made those kids into hockey players (or they died trying to become hockey players...
). I disagree somewhat with the ice time advantage, though. Roseau can't afford to have year-round ice. Yes, there is lots of ice in the winter, but in early April the ice disappears. There typically is ice for 2 or 3 weeks in the summer for a hockey camp, but other than that, the boys have to shoot pucks on the cement slab until late October (or drive long distances). Edina and most city schools have ice available--albeit expensive--year-round. The Rams don't have much of an ice-time advantage as some would think.
