Yep. Great game by the two teams, but horribly officiated. Woodbury had the tying goal stuffed in before the whistle disallowed because the ref didn't see it go in. Farmington had a goal waived off earlier because the net was off (correct call, just bad timing for Farmington). Woodbury must have had around 10 penalties, to about 4 or 5 for Farmington (a few were offsetting). Play was very even, when it was 5 on 5. Both goalies played well. Should be a great District 8 playoff this year.

ts from the Edina EP game yesterday afternoon?
6-3 Edina
3-3 after 2 in fast well played game. E.P. melted down in the 3rd, mostly caused by Edina pressure. Hornets scored 2, plus EN to seal it.
Edina & Burnsville probably the #1 and #2 seeds out of D6. EP and Prior Lake will battle for the final spot, going on to Regional play.

Prior Lake is the 5 seed in D6. That is probably the best and highest rated 5 seed ever. D 6 playoffs should be a battle.

D6 playoff score from Thursday:
Kennedy-5
Shakopee-1
Shakopee is out of the playoffs, Kennedy advances to play Chaska.
D2 playoff scores from Friday:
Mahtomedi-4
Roseville-3 (overtime)
The #8 seed beats the #1 seed.
Tartan-2
Moundsview-1
As a tune-up for this tourney, the Titans played in the Red Wing tourney three weeks ago, losing to Shakopee 4-2 in the opener and beating Rochester Black 11-0 and Faribault 6-1 to take the consolation title.
Either Tartan or Mahtomedi will get the D2 #1 seed or the D2 #2 seed. Either Roseville or Moundsview will be eliminated on Sunday.

Scores from the D9 playoffs:
Thursday First Round Games
Rochester Red-9
Rochester Gold-0
Mankato-4
Rochester Black-1
Friday First Round Games
Owatonna-6
Dodge County-1
Northfield-5
New Ulm-1
Saturday Morning
New Ulm-6
Rochester Black-3
Rochester Black eliminated from D9 tourney. New Ulm advances to play Owatonna. The Eagles are a nice passing team and play well as a team.
Partial score, (I left with 5 minutes to go in the game).
Rochester Red-6
Owatonna-1
The Red scored their first two goals on power plays. The third on a nice solo rush and a hard shot that found a narrow opening on the goalieās left side low. The fourth on a blind pass from behind the net that ended up on a Rochester stick for a quick snap shot into the net. The Red dominated the first period, but the Huskies played even in the second and pressured the Red at the end of second period. The score at the end second period was 4-1. With the win, the Red is guaranteed the D9 #1 or #2 seed to the South Regional. The Red games with the Gold and Owatonna are their first two D9 games of the year.

Some updates from D6...
Chaska beat Kennedy last night. Unsure of score.
Also last night, Jefferson beat Waconia 6-5. Really good game.
Jefferson over Chaska today in OT. 4-3. Another great game! Obviously could have gone either way...
Jaguars move on. Other teams are done for season.
