1. AL
2. West
3. Marshall
4. NU
5. Austin
6. Waseca
7. East
8. Luverne
9. Windom
10. Redwood
11. Sleepy Eye
AL gets 1 because of the recent big win over West. Marshall at 3 because they have beat teams 4-11 this year. AL, West and NU all play Marshall yet which will have a big impact on the top 4 seeds.

Don't know why New Ulm is seeded above Marshall in other posts? Maybe when New Ulm comes to Marshall they will get screwed by the refs again. Except when in New Ulm Marshall took a penalty at the end of the third period and New Ulm couldn't counter on the power play. Don't blame a ref if he starts your overtime off with a power play!

Fairmont is also in Section 1A, according to MSHSL web site
I believe it's because they dropped Blue Earth from the cooperative, and that put them below the magic number.
So they'll be fighting it out with Redwood for the 10th seed, with Sleepy Eye in 12th.

Rochester Century = 5
Albert Lea = 3
Albert Lea had a good run at Century this year. Maybe next year they can get Century, they will lose there best forwards. Good effort from the little guy Mark Walton, he plays with a big heart.

Good, clean game, Century's 5th goal was an empty netter. 2 goals each way came off of neutral or defensive zone turnovers. Walton and Knoepke had 2 goals, shots were heavily in favor of Century 44-25, but Century shoots the puck more than AL does and time in each end was pretty equal. Each team had only 3 penalties which is probably half of Century's season low, but a game with good, quick puck movement really limits the garbage.

Mitch Hawkers score says East 11 Fairbault 2. That must be a mistake.

You are correct bombsquad. the score was Fairbault 11 East 2.

Good thing it was a mistake! For Fairbault and anyone who lost to them.

Yah I don't know what it is with East, they don't seem to be any worse than Austin or the other sub par teams in this section but they play with no life. They have a few good players, but for a team that went to state last year they are pretty brutal. Does anyone know what happened to Mankato East?

Nothing has been said on this yet but a big week coming up for sectional seedings. Starts Saturday with Albert Lea at Marshall. A must win for Albert Lea to maintain first seed and a must win for Marshall to get anyting higher than a third or fourth seed.
I'm taking the Tigers in this one.

Good call on the Tigers winning?WIN- WIN
I'll say AL (TIGERS) 4 Marshall(Tigers) 1. Only 4 for AL because I hear the ice conditions were so bad down in Marshall that the Lourds players were falling all over. Humps and bumps everywhere, hardly and good flat ice.
East

Here is the deal with East. It is pretty easy to figure out if you look at the stats. They have absolutely ZERO goaltending. All three goalies they have tried have a GAA lingering aound 7 and the team save percentage is something like .815. This in turn leads to a lot of frusteration from the rest of the team leading to a ton of time spent in the penalty box. In every game this year I don't care who they have played they can play with just about any team 5 on 5 and anybody that has watched them will most likely agree. This is also a super young team with many freshman playing regular varsity shifts so if, and thats a big IF, they can find a goalie they will be right back in the top four teams in the section soon enough.

I see a good hard nosed game, I don't see it as a high scoring game. Only one or two goal difference.
Is there any other section games this weekend?
Ice didn't look that bad, but I don't know
