also you can't say a goalie with no varsity experience is one of the top goalies either. I agree with Waalkens from Albert Lea he was a very solid goalie arguably better than Casanova last year. i think we can agree that theres not a lot of experienced goalies this year with the departures of Donohue from Mayo, Trembley from West, etc.

Cool down Dominator I'm just giving ya some crap haha just some regular hockey trash talk dont get so defensove its fun man. And I know Palma played against Little Falls he played every game but 3 I just said that meaning the team not the goalie. Im also not saying just because Waalkens and Scudamore are 1,2 goaltenders in the section because of theyve played varsity before, I just think they are better than Bruggemeyer now until I see different. Im just giving New Prague some crfap because it seems like they have 5 players on here and having one person say something and the other 4 agree.

Dominator I think New Prague is good. But because west lost one game 9-2 doesn't mean they won't be a contender this year. They have all their returning scorers back thats usually a good thing.

Your right but the impression i got from that game just led me to believe that they werent very good, but after seeing scores they put up against other teams im thinking that may have just been an off night.

I still say that this Section is wide open between 4-5 teams
Lourdes-Nice group of Juniors. Goaltending somewhat inconsistent.
AL - typical hardworking Roy Nystrom Group led by Woodside and Waalkens
NP- lots of firepower back Goaltending?
RW- nice group of juniors led by Schammel
West- Like most of the teams they have Proven goal scorers. Need Dmen to step up. Has to happen this year because the tank runs a little dry after this year.

Judging by all of this talk! I hope this season is as wide open as everyone says! Cause if it is, its gonna be an awsome season no doubt, i espeacialy like the new teams! Hopefully Ill have the privalage in playing them! I have no predictions on this years section champs and what not, there are some tricky teams

in this section that if you get to cocky they could beat you one game, then that could change your whole season. Beleive me it has!

futureeagle wrote:i dont see how you could have red wing at the top when they were missing maybe one person in lacressent they went into overtime with austin which is a less then average team actually austin is pretty horrible but we will see what happens we can all have our own opinions
Red Wing was missing two of their top scorers from last year, one of them who plays on the Southeast Elite team, their top defenseman, two of last years third liners, and their fourth string goalie who has never played A hockey was in net. It was not their team at all.

TPS, about la crescent, not a very quick or skilled team, but they skate hard and like to hit imo they will be a bottom seeded team in this section but you never know how things will pan out

La Crescent is across the Mississippi from LaCrosse WI. They generally have one youth 'B' team in each level of district 8. Last year they played bantam C and made it to the championship game although I can't remember who won or who they played (Farmington?).

Wild4ever,
I hope you were kidding...There is no way that New Prague will finish out of the top 3 let alone behind Faribault, Mankato East, Waseca, and Northfield. The top four next year will be AL NP West and Lourdes. Just don't know the order that they are going to go in.
