Right now PS2 has them 5th in section.
Its hard to agree or disagree with that becasue of schedule differences/point in the season.

But PR is fun to watch because of Lehrke. But also becasue of the effort the other players are making becasue they know it could be a special year for PR hockey. All the boys deserve a round of applause.

I don't think they will make it to state because Warroad is tough, EGF should be tough, Bemidji is as good, TRF could be as good. Warroad could falter but there are 4 (not counting Crookston or LOW) other teams that want the special year.

But the nice thing is that if you throw in Crux and LOW; you have 7 teams that will make 8A play-offs very exciting. :o

And then you put RLF and Hallock who have a history of winning some games no one ever thought they would; AND Walker with a new program and Bagley with a new coach and short bench - even the bottom 4 games give the fan some excitement.
:)

And by the 'cities', you mean the Bagley-Bemidji metropolis?

By the looks of it, Warroad is the front runner and everybody else is a distinct step below them. So, do you really think playoffs will be exciting? Or will it take something "weird" happening in order for it to be what people want?

My bad, thanks for the correction...
sinbombyzermancurve wrote:secondly i have to disagree with you. I beleive they are better this yr when compared to last. Granted it is almost the same team as last yr with the exception of a few players, they are getting more production out of their second line this yr which never happened last year.
Perhaps, I just think experience and the competition being down a little has helped..

Warroad is not unbeatable.
Strong goaltender having a strong night.
Two or three players that can bury the puck.
A pair of D that can slow their first line down coming into the zone.
Being able to break-out or make sure it gets cleared...

And as stated there are 4 other teams that could fill this role.

Little Falls

It is more like a Wadena, look at the schedules. This most suredly is not how Little Falls got started. Little Falls played and still plays a Central Lakes Conference schedule, a lot more difficult than the Mid-State. I am not saying the CLC is a power house hockey conference, but the point is made. Wadena walked through this same type of thing when they broke out.....I do hope that PR takes a better path in the future than Wadena did.

yes...he is...but for pr to do any damage at sections in the end of feb, the goaltending has to get better and so do their defensemen. Also...knapp needs to keep scoring like he has and coborn needs to burry his oppertunities

Lehrke's linemates get many chances to put puck away....I think as the season progresses and/or into playoffs that line and # 2 will progress rapidly

I followed PR a little bit last year, watched them play up north when i could, they had a good team last year and if this team is better it might be possible to go the year without a loss, but i doubt it, these are highschool kids and it is very tough, i don't care what you schedule is, to go undefeated. We will see what happens.

close is right.....pr gave up two 2-0's iin the second period but their goalie came up huge.

i dont think pr gave up more than 2 or 3 shots in the third period.

Northern lakes is a better team than i thought...they are pretty quick, they hit everything that moves and they are coached very well, they just lack talent.

It really is irrelevant if they go undefeated or not! They WILL NOT Win section 8a. So they could be the New England patriots they might win all regular season games but it means nothing until you win the big one and that my friends will never happen. Sorry Sioux recruit.

Not sure if this guy has every pulled for an underdog in his life... Stranger things have happened. Is it probable, NO. Is it possible, YES.

This post is Will Park Rapids go undefeated.....not will Park win section 8a....why are u sorry for me?....im a fan..and it would be great to see the PR hockey team go undefeated to sections and possibly even more....I think it IS possible and it CAN happen....so ur point is NOT valid....so Flin Flon...Im sorry u wasted ur time.....

I feel sorry for you because even IF your team goes undefeated they will not win a section 8a title so it will be bitter sweet. And stranger things haven't happend. Yes there are upsets in sports all the time but for Park to win a section title they will have to play 2-3 flawless games. So like I said before that will never happen. NEVER.

So what you are really saying Flin Flon is that you are a troll who scrapes the section 8A threads and looks for PR fans so that you may aggrevate them by not only getting off topic but bashing down a proud team/community? Sounds like the way I would like to spend a night or even weekend for that matter...

Once again.......Ur missing the point.....this thread is not " will park rapids win section 8a"......u may want to go make a thread about that...cause in this one....its not working =;

Newsguy if you want to say I'm a troll I'm fine by that but I'm not sure why a guy is a troll for stating a fact. But if you want me to answer the question with a yes or a no I will state by saying ... NO.. But really doesn't matter. If they do or if they don't because it only matters if you win a big game or two in February.

I am not sure how many REGULAR SEASON games PR will play as I do not have their schedule in front of me. I believe you missed the point, a point that has been noted again and again by sioux... [/b]
