So it is 2-0 after 1. Anyone surprised by the game so far?

I was expecting Warroad to get a few more quality chances. I guess the 6 minutes of power play for Roseau stopped that. I was also expecting some heavier hitting. Still early though.

Warroad needs to stay out of the box and try to generate more offense. Looks like some of the warriors are overplaying the puck as Roseau has had quite a few odd-man rushes coming from warroad's over-aggressiveness. 5 on 5 the warriors are still holding their own.

Lapantha commented that Warroad is trying to match their 3rd line against Roseau's top line to free up Rav. Seems like suicide to me and it showed on the last shift of the 1st.

Next goal is key for both sides.

And on we go to the 2nd.

Roseau looks like the far superior team in this game. Warroad needs to tighten up defensively and they most definitely need to stay out of the penalty box. In my opinion, they are lucky that it is only 2-0 after the first period and they need to stop putting themselves behind the eight ball by taking penalties.

There's always hope. Just a matter of how realistic it is.

Ejoying the Game in South Carolina

I'm watching the game in South Carolina via satellite TV. As a former Roseau resident it's a lot of fun to actually see the Rams play, especially against Warroad. Roseau's up 4-0 and it doesn't look good for the Warriors. Go Rams!

Which prompts the Warriors to switch goalies. Paquin is in.

You might just win the furthest fan award tonight. Enjoy the game. It looks like your team should coast this one out the remainder of the way.

By the way- Do you get a chance to wear your Polaris jacket down there? Every time they pan the crowd, I see a bunch

still undetermined. No official word except that he's trying to get the credits to qualify.

Tivo sure is a beautiful thing. I just replayed some of the action where Roseau was breaking the puck into the zone. There have been 3 instances, one of which resulted in a Roseau goal, where they were blatently offsides and the officials didn't blow the play dead.

How do they give Ness an assist for that 1st goal? He passed it to a winger who did a give and go with the other forward and Ness gets the assist? Although Ness was key to the play I don't believe he can get that assist...just curious about the ruling.

You jealous or something? Who cares who gets the assist.

Agreed I was thinking that too???
Warriors seem to have lost a their enthusiasm, B-Rav is the only one I've seen skating at the same pace as the Rams.
What was the penalty behind the play in the 1st??

I used to work at Polaris as a college kid. I've got Polaris clothing as well. I know I'm not the furthest fan watching the game. My brother is also watching the game and he lives about 6,000 miles away in the middle east. You have to love technology. It's the middle of the night there, but us Roseau hockey fans won't miss this for anything.

Warroad's Pieper hooked Landman down while he was starting a rush up the boards.
