Good win for Spartans in Mankato...

Eden Prairie 2, Edina 1

It was a very physical and close game. Shots were pretty even, EP 25, Edina 24. Scoring opportunities were also pretty even. Edina had a problem in that most of the second period and some of the third period they were spending a great deal of time in the penalty box. Edina had something like 8 or 9 penalties to just 2 for EP. EP had at least 2, 5 on 3 opportunities, one was for a full two minutes when the Edina coach was ejected for arguing about the uneven refereeing but EP could not convert the 5 on 3s into scores.

Some great games tonight to close out the week. Three individuals (twowayplay, Hansonbrother241 and pacman) each got correct scores in today's action, but it was not enough to overcome hockeyrube7's consistency as he posted 13 total points for the week and takes home Forum Bragging Rights. Also of note, late entry DmanDad1980 correctly picked all 6 winners today, the only one to do so, and so he was 7 of 7 in his picks!
