Ok, well then point out the "close to half" that were on each of the Allan Cup teams.

The issue of the HS players on the team is a separate one...is that too many things for you to handle in one post?

Rams80,

When did Roseau and I. Fall combine their hockey programs. Edina is 1 city not 2. It should not count against them just because they have more people living there. Bottom line is the city has won 9 H.S. titles.

You might as well just combine all the high schools in the TC area then.

Great hockey and just a nice example how the two towns can unite to win championships!

Just think what could happen "IF" it ever happened at the High School level?????
Just to prove your point, could you post a roster and point out the 51%+ that were RHS graduates? I know all of those Allan Cup teams had current WHS players on the roster, i never saw a current RHS player on the team though.

Here's what the current "combined" team would look like...

SALOL NORTH STARS

1st Tyler Landman Bryce Ravndalen Ben Nelson
Aaron Ness Mark McDonald

2nd Jeremy Hahn Dustin Moser Nick Oliver
Tai Larson Ryan Weston

3rd Adam Knochenmus Brock Nelson Brett Hebel
Michael Pieper Mitch Martinson

4th Jason Fabian Dane Shaugabay Jon Hellquist

That's got a nice ring to it, Salol North Stars. Could play on the rink right behind Bingo's. Given the state of H.S. Hockey the Salol N. Stars could combine I. Falls, Warroad, Roseau, and area players by rebuilding the old school house forming a "private" school made up entirely of 20 hockey players who all received scholarships. I like how that sounds!

Ok - time to get a top 8 qualifier list and we do a best out of 3 Rock, Paper, Scissors contest. The 8 top towns all probably have a strong case for the title.

I know it would as difficult for these two towns to agree and share the title. It would be like getting peace in the middle east. The winner of the annual match up - total goals wins the title for a year. I think Warroad and Roseau are both deserving.

Maybe start a Sears Cup like the NCAA has and direct it at the youth levels and how teams perform at each level from Squirt on up (don't want to upset the Squirt parents any more than I already do) We would really be debating polls and standings then!
:D

It can also be noted that Eveleth,Roseau and International Falls were winning state hockey titles before a high school program even existed in Bloomington or Edina or even the communities themselves.

Must be a reason the U.S. H.H.of F. is in Eveleth.

Roseau.

If you were to take a vote, there should be two choices. That way there has to be a vote beyond the team one individually nominates.

Kind of like the pirate code. There has never been a king because everyone votes for themselves, until Jack Sparrow broke the tie.

This is a pretty big question but it has to be from the north. Roseau being the front runner then eveleth and rapids in a close third. Roseau has such a small population (AA) and still handles the so called powerhouses in the state.
