Rosemount, because no one expect them to do anything.

Yeah, they are "quietly" having a monster year.Lucia4President wrote:How about Minnetonka
I like this list....I would say Woodbury and East are a stretch though.....STEV16 wrote:Jefferson, Rosemount, Eastview, Woodbury, Burnsville, Holy Angels, East, Hopkins..... Would you be suprised if one of these teams won it?

My pick goes to whoever walks out of 2AA, whether it be EDINA, or even AHA and Jefferson who are both hoooooottt right now (burnsville and eastview are good picks too!)
Yes, they got beat like a red-headed stepkid with a bad report card.Govs93 wrote:

A good point. Both teams were worthy champs but benefited by upsets of other top teams.MNHockey75 wrote:
Not many people were picking Cretin or Roseau the last 2 years at this point of the season. Beware of the underdog.

THEY ARE DUE!!!!!!!!
The "New" NSP will rally around itself at Polar Arena - instead of getting squashed by a semi loaded with cement blocks trying to get there as in the past.

How is anyone gonna pick NSP for a darkhorse team, and besides the fact that the only thing they have is a streaky goalie, they are not gonna be playing at Polar Arena come playoff time whenn they are the 8th seed

And you are just figuring that out now?Couldn't tell in your private school post but you are talking hockey right? How is high school played?
We'll get a preview @ Baudette. Should be fun!Newguy07 wrote:My darkhorse is Blaine.
Favorable section and they have been playing very well as of late. They have two very solid lines. Go Bungals!!
Maybe they should play more high School down there! If my elementary geography serves me right I believe Duluth and Cloquet are barely above Mid-State MN and Grand Rapids is closer to Minneapolis than it is to Roseau. Don't forget Brainerd is central MN, almost exact. (Crow Wing State Park actually) I think our friend was talking Northern MN Hockey, as in Upper Range, I Falls, Roseau, Warroad where hockey is hockey!hockey59 wrote:"it appears the only place where quality high school is played is up north"BIAFP wrote:Pioneerprideguy wrote:I think any team from the metro has to be considered a darkhorse as it appears the only place where quality high school is played is up north.

So then what other teams would classify as "Northern"?
