I don't really buy the argument that Hill is tied down by its conference. Duluth East is in the Lake Superior Conference in a number of sports, but the hockey team bolted from it in the late 90s when they got tired of slaughtering the teams there (they went 59-4 over a few years). Leaving allowed East to put together one of the most consistently difficult schedules in the state. I know little of the politics within Hill's conference but if they were serious about wanting to play a harder schedule, that option does exist.

I'm not getting too jazzed about the chest thumping ... Top of the Hill just means the potential for a further fall.

Hill gains nothing by leaving their conference & following East's path. Like previously noted, Hill achieves balance to their overall schedule by playing competitive non-conference games & scheduling scrimmages to work on development. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Oh sure, kick us when we're down & make fun our futility. We are trying to build a program from the ground up & that takes time!

You know me, I'm just trying to help. Over the years, Hill has done a great job of building a team to beat WBL. The list proves it! Of course, White Bear doesn't do that well at state either. Maybe its time to "kick it up a notch" and prepare a team to win titles.
Schedule Centennial!

We do win titles & we like being called Classic Surburban Champs...everything else is icing. I will talk to my people & see what can be done with trying to schedule a home/home with the Russian Red Army.

How many other teams can even claim this amount of success? Sure it would have been nice to see them win more championships, but at least they get to the tourney.

Kind of sums up my point...
