Tip to Blaine parents.

32 feet of water

Plain red anodized hook on bobber, and a rattle jigging spoon tipped with just the head.

Both just inches off the bottom!

Will they let you drill holes and fish near the game site?

You can drill all the holes you want in the Roseau end as they won't be playing there.

Roseau lost its perfect season by losing a scrimmage to Blaine.

Perfect means NO losses or ties in any game or scrimmage (see the '83 Pioneers for more details).

going by your definition of perfect, you just said that the new england patriots are not perfect (not that they have anything to do with hockey). they lost 2 preseason games, those are like scrimmages, which obviously mean nothing, since they dont count towards your regular and postseason records. the patriots are a perfect 18-0 going into this weekend as all of you know. but according to pistols logic, they are actually 20-2 (with preseason games).

I think the schedule is already set. I don't think at this point in the season that they will slip Edina or Minnitonka into their schedule because it is to bad, only then will they know what it will take to beat the likes of these teams. Especially Edina, how will Roseau stop Buddish in the corners? About like everyone else, not very good.

IFalls lost to Hibbing earlier tonight. :( If common opponents mean anything this will not even be close. Roseau beat Hibbing 6-0 and outshot them about 44-14. IFalls went into OT with LOW and Roseau beat them 11-0.

That was good stuff. I love hockey talk mixed with fishing banter.

Anyway, for anyone in Baa'dette, last year, how was the ice and the setting? Was it quality hockey ice or was it half-assed? Just looking at possible pre-loss excuses for my Rams, I guess.

blaine will not beat them on the lake. that six hours farther north will have its advantages, even if both teams have been practicing outside. point being---it's fricken cold up there and the Rams know it.

Roseau could potentially lose to anyone of these teams if they don't show up (see also Crookston, St. Cloud Tech, etc.). They tend toward only playing one or two solid periods of hockey, which isn't going to cut it later. This realatively tough ending to the schedule is exactly what the Rams need to prepare for March.

That being said, their best chance for screwing this up is Oliver playing Lee in Friday night's game against Tech, after a 5 hour bus ride, followed by a few crappy hours of sleep and a couple more hours of bus ride up to a fairly solid Brainerd team. If Nelson plays the Tech game, and Lee the rest of the season, they go undefeated.

though call not playing Lee though he is very hot. 2GA in the last 6 games
