falls- 33
hibbing- 28

that was quite a game. the falls played good but just couldn't get the puck in the net.

Once again Sandstrom has validated my stance on why he should have been on the CCM All Star team ahead of Lustig and Putzel. He won the game for Hibbing last night.

BTW, the refs were from Greenway. Plackner and Zuelke. Pretty weak on both sides. If you watched the East/Cloquet fiasco at the DECC, the guy with the [qoute] Hitler mustache was screwing the game up. I think those guys are from Greenway as well.

The 1st period was pretty even and in the second period Falls could have won that game. But in the 3rd Falls looked tired and Hibbing was in there end for the majority of the period. Hats off to Mike Hart to played a great game and also to Todd Sandstrom who kept Hibbing in it.
Go Jackets!

and looks like my prediction was correct!!!!

3-1 for hibbing! to bad for the falls, both teams played a great game and sandstrom played great for Hibbing.

also, Kudo's to hibbing for their great fan section! Very well coordinated with their chants, some were a bit slurred, but other than that.

I was very dissapointed at the end of the game when some of the falls fans threw bottles on the ice at the hibbing fans. No class at all.

I agree this was probably one of the best games up north this year. very exciting. I do agree with the If fans having poor class throwing bottles at the hibbing players, yes hibbing threw stuff on the ice but it all had a hibbing logo on it like an H or Anchor. great game by both sides the 1st period was a tie with both teams controlling it for equal amount of time, the second period falls just dominated it hibbing had to resort to icing it for most of the period and the 3rd was hibbings period to me it just looked like falls was getting tired and couldnt keep up with some of hibbings skaters i saw numerous times when a hiibing player would start out 2 or 3 strides behind a IF player and beat him to the puck.

I totally agree with you IronRangeHockey Falls dominated the 2nd and had a chance to go up 2 or 3 goals. But in the 3rd Falls was tire. Looking at some of the Falls players they looked like they couldnt even get into the box. The Youso line was also extremely tired and Hibbing took it to em in the 3rd.

i kinda laughed when a few of the falls fans flew their flags on the ice, its like they are so pissed off over a silly hockey game that they cut their aliegence to their team.

Thats brings up a good point about the fans and the atmosphere. I've gone to the 7A semi-final at IRA ever since I was little and never have I seen it that full and that loud. And the Hibbing student section really dominated Falls.

Hibbing over Ifalls

I would like to say hats off to the Bluejackets!! You showed a team is much stronger then a single player for granted Youso is a great player but you can only do so much. I don't know if anyone else noticed but it seemed to me that everytime the Decenzo,Jamnick,Hanagmon line was on the ice Ifalls tended to ice it everytime Decenzo and company got into the zone. All in all the best hockey game I have seen all year long. Atmosphere was great! Lets skate to state Jackets!!! Good luck on Wednesday at the Decc against DM. I will be one of many there cheering for the Jackets.

Good luck Bluejackets!!!

Both teams did work extemely hard, and Hibbing played great, I didn't see the domination from Hibbing in the third like everyone is saying, but I did see the first line of the Falls tired. I think that it is because they didn't role all three lines.
