The Patriots were possibly the best football team ever. Even they had to lose sometime.....

Roseau over Moorhead?? Nope. Lets see.....In regional play Roseau's first game was running time, and the second game was running time, and the third game will be ????? Oh Ya, running time!

Oh well ya never know what happens, but good luck to both teams. Play hard, play smart, and don't get cheap, and most importantly... have FUN

I just can't figure out why some people would like to see roseau lose... ](*,)

Roseau has just way too many weapons beyond Aaron Ness that even if he didn't touch the puck in this game they would still win.

4-1 Roseau

the only thing for sure is that nothing is for sure...

moorhead can certainly win this game, but they need to out work the rams to do so, that is no easy task

Sheep - 2

Upset special! taking into account....
1) Spuds surging lately
2) Rams weak schedule (admit it......)
3) FINALLY determined a starting goalie who is on fire
4) the history between these teams (neither has swept a 3 game season series before)
5) Blaine, who is good but not great this year, played them close
6) underdog status for the first time in a loooooooong time (in sections)
7) If I am wrong, I am just an overly enthusiastic fan, if I am right I am a GENIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Weak schedule (ok I'll admit it, we played Moorhead twice)

moorhead has played six teams in the top 10 and Roseau has played about 4 in the top 25 including moorhead, thats pretty week

Not true. The Spuds did beat Roseau 3 times in '03-04' and '04-'05. The third time in '05 was for the section title.

Roseau fans, Is there any truth to the rumor that Oliver applied for the Concordia Cobber head coaching job?

Anyone know if we would be able to get tix for this one on a walk up basis?

Are they playing outdoors?

If so, maybe it could be on TV.....or isnt it cold enough anymore?

Da Spuds get revenge for last year in a stunning upset, 3-2 in OT.

Irishmans Shanty wrote:This game doesn't have nearly the buzz it did last year.

I always thought that going out onto the ledge after a tough loss was a figure of speech, with the absence of most of Moorhead this year, I'm beginning to wonder.

It could be their finest moment and the only orange & black around here are PR fans.
We are here, have been all year, although quieter...but still believe!!
Lessons learned from last year –
First, being #1 means nothing (except bragging rights when posting on the board)
Second, talking a lot could potentially lead to eating your own words. Let the “big dogs” talk and have fun for now; however… (Third lesson) NEVER be too confident because anything can happen when it comes to tourney time!!

GO SPUDS!!

i heard the same type of crap on here from bufflo.. 7 shots later here we are hearing more crazy talk from the spuds. anyone can say it could happen and why not. if i was a spud fan i would want hope. last year and this year arent even comparable. last year roseau was probley a top five team in the state that moorhead had to beat. moorhead is not in the ball park for this game.

Why would he do that? The Roseau "High School" coaching position is more prestigious.

If Anoka can beat Grand rapids 6-0 they can definately Slaughter Roseau!! But the spuds will lose 7-2 in this one.

I agree, but you would have to ask him that. Honestly don't think he would want the job/get the job, but if he did, would his kid follow him down here?

if oliver would leave next year...his kid i'm guessing would stay in roseau or go to the USHL...don't see him playing for another high school

Isn't Oliver from the FM area originally?
