If they play Edina, the shots will be 48-16 and they will lose 8-1.
If they play BSM, the shots will be 41-19 and they will lose 6-2.
If they play Hill, the shots will be 37-20 and they will lose 5-1.
I wonder why they will even bother to show up.
P.S. This is the exact same post from last year. Century had beaten nobody, except for the very same Rosemount team, so why did Century even bother showing up eh?
P.P.S. Oh yeah, the PS2. Almost as reliable as the BCS, ESPN NFL Live predictions of the Super Bowl, Vegas odds makers, and some Clown down in FLA who is not even in the state to watch the games.
Thanks for sharing. I am glad all of your favorites have won their respective sections.
You crack me up. It is now obvious you have some vested interest in Lakeville or teams from southern Minnesota. Century had a wonderful run last year and upset Hill-Murray before finishing 3rd. A terrific achievement.
Rather than engage in ridiculous back and forth banter, I'm content to state my opinion and watch the games. If these Lakeville teams are so dang good how come they keep losing whenever they face someone decent. Newsflash! Sometimes teams go to state and show they are overmatched. It can and does happen, probably to Lakeville this season.
If you disagree that's fine, but you seem to want to lobby to change opinions before the games when there is no fuel for the argument. There is a reason people don't respect Section 1 this year and the .500 team seeded #1 is a big part of it. When Lakeville beats their first round opponent I'll be the first person to admit I'm wrong and congratulate them. What are you going to do when Benilde slaps 'em 5-1?
One poster, not you, wanted a breakdown of how the schedule for South changed at mid season. I provided that. Not even an opinion. Just facts. Roseau, Benilde, Hill-Murray...three teams that "don't play anyone" in their conference, but when they did "play someone" they fared well. The Lakeville teams have not.
That's not unfair, biased, or off-base. That's what happened.
With a 4-leaf clover in one hand and golden horseshoe in the other you can pray for a better showing at the X. The world knows there is no reason to be impressed so far.
I've seen plenty of games this year, it matters not if I have your seal of approval.
I wish them well. I hope they pull a Titanic upset. I'm just not counting on it.
The kids will show up and play hard because they've earned that right. I've never suggested it be taken away from them.
