Goaltending is probably the toughest one to pick. I have no problem with the choice. There other tenders that are deserving but they only choose one.

An average goalie plays 4 years varsity for a powerhouse like Hill?fivehole628 wrote:Perfectly said Poor Imitation! With the team hes on and the schedule they play, if he was that good his stats should rival those of Lee from RoseauHillfan wrote:Phillippi won the Brimsek award and took his team back to the state tournament...it's only fitting that he should be the 1st team goalie..

Yea such a powerhouse they're 1-4 at state over the last two years and heading back again for a third straight year.BIAFP wrote:JR. wrote:An average goalie plays 4 years varsity for a powerhouse like Hill?fivehole628 wrote: Perfectly said Poor Imitation! Brilliant
Powerhouse? Two and out again last year
Hillfan wrote:Well put JR. Hill-Murray isn't going to recruit an "average" goaltender to their team, especially starting as a freshman.
I'm shocked by the omission of Anders Lee as well. Congrats to all the players who were selected.hockeywatcher4 wrote:Where the heck was anders he more than deserves to be on one of the 3 all metro teams.
Relax Sally, I like a good physical player but what I saw of him (just a few times) he was a cheap shot. He also taunted my guy, just don't like the attitude.behonestbenice wrote:What impression. Its hockey you hit guys. Just what I am sure mosy scouts are looking for akid to say I like to shy a way frm the play.
The kids a great aggressive player its a shame parents out here bashing him all hte time. I can't wait until he makes it big time and he will. Then we will see all the band wagin jumpers.]
PS lets see if every post for the next 15 minutes only everyone could say something positive or nice about a player and not show our jealousy.

McManus got worked in section finals, Gleason is probably just as deserving as Student but 3 Edina players on the 1st team would make them look biased.koho snipe wrote:i wish mcmanus or gleason would have made the first team instead of Student.
One of the key factors of these three players, Walters, Lee, Bergland is not just their numbers, but the impact of their play in big games. All three came up huge in their section play-offs, when it matters most.behonestbenice wrote:Have to agree Lee should have been in the top 12 forwards. A for sure second teamer. There are a couple 2-3 guys on here that were not consistent all year but got hot the last few games and then playoffs.
Bergland (BM) and Walters (STA) should have both been no brainer All Metro. Birkhols from Blake should also have bumped a couple of the third teamers.
