Nothing official but from what I'm hearing the Chaska and N. St. Paul HS programs will suffer big losses.

Well, CHS is not being smart with how they are handeling the school split. (for 2009 when Chan HS opens) MANY MANY great players are either bolting on their own, or being openly recruited for other teams...NOT just girls hockey, every sport! ...kids are panicking. With the talent split in 1/2 and STAYING in the toughest conference in the state LAKE, (no wisdom there from the Ad's, they could have gone to a conference where they could have competed successfully, as a school in general...such as where Shakopee is) with 1/2 the talent? Some top athletes do not want to be on teams with no chance AT ALL of post season play....rumor has it that 10-15 of the biggest/best 7-8th graders (the future) football players have left the feeder program for another HS. Kids are losing their coaches too, as they are in the dark as to which coaches are staying at CHS and which are going to Chan. HS, friends are split, and they will not tell us which sports, although I heard it was VERY few, will co-op with the 2 schools until they can field their own teams well...People jump fast from sinking ships. EP girls hockey was going down, and it is amazing how many jumped off that ship!
3 CHS girls made the T-breds team.

I know the twins made it - heard that today, great kids with great attitudes. My other guess is that D. Williams also made the team, that though is only a WAG (wild-arse guess)

Hockey for boys and girls initially will be co-op. How long i do not know.
Regarding the conference - The AD is put into a situation where he not only has to appease the high ranking most popular sports, but also has to take care of making sure the debate team, dance teams, DECA, speech team, etc has a place to compete. The lake conference was the only one that could offer all activities.
In other words Chaska will become the Bloomington Kennedy of District 112.
I heard many Tonka and EP parents are already open-enrolling their kids in junior high into District 112 so they can attend Chanhassen and be able to participate at the HS school level where they might not have been able to if they remained EP or Tonka.
More than anything, it is a waste of over a 100 million dollars on a structure that is land locked and will not have sufficient facilities to begin with let alone have any room to expand. It will make a nice community center in 25 years.

I would have to disagree with your comment about the twins. Tam has great talent and a great attitude, but Sam doesnt have so great of an attitude

Why would anyone post such a mean-spirited comment? The comment is unnecessary and not helpful to anything. Sounds like hockey fan 01 has an agenda. They are two great girls and very talented hockey players!

Congrats to all of the girls who made it to the T-breds
S & T are warriors on the ice they play hard all of the time.
Their determination on the ice will be missed by the team.
But with them leaving it also opens the door for more girls to move up.
It can be a win win for some.
Good luck to all!

there were a couple girls hurt during tryouts so I'm sure their waiting to find out those girls status along with some girls may not want to accept the invitation to play for them so I'm sure they have to sort that out too. It may take another week until they let us know who made the final team

I understood from players on the team that team was named, set and has been practicing already. They are going out to NY tournament in two weeks.

The T-Breds web site has not been updated, but I will contact OnMAA who is at the tourney and see if he can procure one.

I added the player's class in school.
Three new players from Chaska and 2 from N. St. Paul and a top Post Grad Tai Stephan from Edina.
Danielle Williams (U16 MN) and Kate Beemer (U15 Central Dist) were NDP.
Steph Anderson can skate like the wind and has kind of Gretzky sense and big shot - should be fun to see her develop and her game mature with the Thoroughbreds.
Put these players with Kari Lundberg and Lyndsey Burman should make for an exciting and successful team.
Two new goaltenders should do well and are solid players. Good Luck!

Joe Joe Joe.
Gretzky sense?? She is a very good player she does skate like the wind and has a big shot but Gretzky would never take a slap shot on a 3 on 0.

Hey, wow, dinner was ready, thus interrupting my posting of the T-breds roster here, and I come on after and find someone doing all the heavy lifting for me. Thanks Joe.
