Duda? I thought he didn't even make the playoff team.

There are two Dudas, a senior and a junior. The junior was on JV last year and played in a couple V games. The older one is the captain. He didn't play much from what I understand.

Being a capatain doesnt mean you have to be a stand out player. being a captain means you can lead a team. The team voted on who should be captains. Not only did the team vote but the graduating seniors voted aswell. So, obviously, the team saw that pat duda has great leadership skills. not to mention he is also a very good player. Pat will have a great year as a player and a captain for benilde.

California "BOY", I wouldn't kid you. Pauly started at Benilde in the late- 80's and built that program. Two state "A" titles 1999 and 2001. Went to Minnetonka for three years and revived that program taking them to the "AA" state tourny in 2006. Returns to Benilde last year and they go to their first "AA" state tourny and finish third. The game against Edina was the best game in the tourny that year. I would bet if he had coached that BSM team from 2005 they go to state that year also. His programs have produced a number of D-1 players and one NHL player (Andrew Alberts). He also coached Jake Gardiner at Tonka and he turned out pretty good. Just thought I would back up my claim with some facts. I think this qualifies Pauly as one of the best coaches in the state.

Well said and he is also a great ambassador to the game appearing on my Fox Hockey. An all around great coach.

we wont find out until the beginning of the season or just by word of mouth we will find out. The schools website doesnt differentiate who is on jv and who is on varsity.

Wow, nothing like taking shots at a team that you don’t know and even I don’t know. Lets wait till season to say who was overhyped and overrated. Stick to the teams you know rather than taking shots at a team that you barely know.

I know this team and other than the goalie, they ARE overrated. .500 record should be a good goal.

And who are you??? You obviously have no idea who the kids are on the team otherwise you wouldn’t be bashing them.

Minnetonka 2

Give credit to Benilde, even though they are way below AA size in terms of enrollment they chose to move up and take on the big schools like Minnetonka, EP and Edina. If I were in their section I would not underestimate them! They may start slower than last year but by the time it really counts Pauly will have them playing great hockey.

I thought maybe the RAZZ emoticon would help folks understand it was just a razzing nothing to take as serious. You boys can reload each season which always helps especially in AA territory. :P

I watched them last weekend in a scrimmage in Duluth, they will be a force to be reckoned with at the end of the year, great goaltending, above average D, and hard working forwards and a great coach. Plus they all went to church together Sunday morning in Duluth!

WOW! They will be good. They play St.Cloud Tech in a couple hours. Shouldnt be to tough if they are as good as they sound.
