I am surprised you would pick that over the New Ulm/Windom tilt. To each his own, I guess. :D

Hibbing Blue Jackets at home against the Blue Devils from Virginia.... great rink, great place to watch a game that has the makings for a good one.

I couldn't agree more w/ you Sparlimb!

Drive and watch those we can in person, and then set up camp at home to watch the rest! Getting to state, for some teams, is the the epitomy of the season, and many leave nothing on the ice in the section finals.

This would be a great addition to the FSN HS hockey televised package!

Wasn't FSN supposed to televise a couple section finals at Mariucci but then the decision makers in those sections pulled the plug on it? Can't blame FSN for that.

I believe that was the case two years ago and they threatened to show the 4AA final last year which they didn't. Seems they need to figure out a way to get those games on tv. The two section finals at Mariucci this past year (BSM-Tonka and Edina-Burnsville) were the two best section finals I have personally seen in a long time. And I would sure like to see a 7AA final sometime, but the chances of me driving to Duluth to do it aren't real good. But 5 years ago no one would have thought we'd ever have high school hockey on tv at all. So I'm guessing it is coming. I'm more looking forward to 45 figuring out how to show the games in HD. That would rock!

I have to agree with that. Actually, I wouldn't mind seeing any game between Grand Rapids, Hibbing, or Virginia. All have been great games over the last few years. East/Cloquet would be tough to top as far as rivalry games go.

Who do you want to see?

Rules:
*Can't vote for "your team" (we understand you hope they get on TV)

*Okay to name a rivalry with both teams if you think that adds to it
I'll start. I doubt it will happen but I'd like to see Shattuck-St. Mary's. Also Hopkins assuming Boyd and Fons are there. (I haven't followed all the threads.) Plus Centennial, who won Bantams a few years back.
looks like a bump is needed!

Two good range games...
Two good Lake games...
A couple good SEC games...
Elk River vs Anoka, w/ a camera on the crowd...
A good Southern MN game... Lourdes/West/Albert Lea or Mayo/Century...
Cathedral vs Little Falls...
Edina vs Hill...
Roseau vs Moorhead...

Please Santa, Please!!! :D

Isn't that redundant? WBL vs Hill is a City School versus a small school.

I think that all the section championships would be large television draws.
I would think it would be a great warm up to the state tournament.

ESPN did this with the LLWS. It originally was just the final on ABC. Then it was the whole tournament on ESPN. Then it went to the qualifiers as well. Nice idea. I hope it happens.

I have to agree, that is a dream match up

I am going with Roseau vs. Warroad. No matter what, it's a war on ice, great crowd and great rivalry.
Cannot disagree with that match up...bottom line is the bottom line...costs alot more to drive the bus up to the edge of the earth than it does to Buffalo...only thing good about Roseau other than their hockey team is that the bar is only 50 steps from the arena door...not that I condone drinking but it sure does ease the pain of having to look at the female Roseau fans:)

It also costs a lot more to drive to Wrigley Field than it does to the Metrodome. Given the choice, which would you rather see? They've gone north in the past, and I'm sure they will a time or two this season as well. You're not writing the check to get them up there!

Your fervor for Buffalo hockey is duly noted though, HOF... Just not sure the rest of the state is on board with you - we're all Rogers fans.

Besides, ultimately I'm sure we'll all watch whatever FSN is willing to give. :D
