Smilin' Glen is doing the color commentary for the game this Saturday. It'll be like reliving the glory days of Gopher football...

You know, like back when they were in the Gaylord Imageusic City Bowl?

A thorough dismantling of Florida Atlantic results in 3 fewer votes?! It's clear that there's a midwest vendetta at play here. The east and west coast press are clearly threatened by this team, as well they should be. Good for Sid for being the lone voice of reason - as usual.

Nice of you to join us... again.

And I wouldn't be throwing things around much if I were you. Seems to me that I've been here all along.

Great news for the Gophers with USC taking a digger last night. That's just one less obstacle in their way for...

Well, it looks like one mission has come to an end, and our heroes failed to come through, but do not fret good citizens, as they shall regroup and embark on a new and daring endeavor...

I would like to announce that the Gophers are playing the Hoosiers right now.

It must be the best kept secrect in the history of the Metrodome and the University of Minnesota because the players, referees, coaching staffs, cheerleaders, and chain gang outnumber the number of people in the stands. For the kickoff the crowd resembled that of the 9man state championship game.

The Big Ten is now officially a "mid-major" football conference.

Chokio-Albe............I mean the Gophers took the opening kickoff, chewed up 2/3rds of the quarter and rattled a FG attempt off the post.

This is a huge game for these teams, this is their one and only rip at an '08 Big Ten win.

Ok, some of the blue seats are disappearing behind people, the crowd now resembles the Michigan spring game. No, not the Michigan, Western Michigan.

It's a ffffffffffffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuummmmmmmmmmmmmmbbbbbbbblllllllllllllllllleeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

Red ball.

MIN 10
IND 7

3rd 6:00

Why the Gophers O-coordinator consulted Darrell Bevell and Brad Childress for Redzone advice is beyond me.

What a difference one year makes...

To beat Illinois, on the road, on Homecoming, and Big Ten Home opener for the fumbling Illini... very nice :D

Maroon and Gold actually looked like a real football team today. Nice work and who cares who they've played? They're 6-1 and are going to go to a bowl game this year. Great job after last year's fiasco =D>

Oh. My. God.

At least one MN team knows how to play football. Brewster just might have something going for him here...

I'm pleased to see the results so far this year, but I will be the naysayer and say a program is not built on one so far successful year after one dismal year.

I just don't want to get my hopes up too high only have them trashed much like the vikings like to do to us.

However I could wear my Minnesota Hoodie a couple weeks early before the Gopher hockey season starts.

Personally it doesn't really matter to me what they do the rest of the year since they have far exceeded my expectations. I see 3 possible wins left on the schedule and those were there from the beginning, this recent surge hasn't changed the status at all.

I'm looking towards the future more as they need to build off of this bowl bid and get the kind of kids in here that can get them 8-9 wins a year and finish in the top 1/3 of the Big Televen.

The Gophers are giving Vanderbilt a run for its money for Surprise Team of the Year. Just 1-11 in Tim Brewster's first season, Minnesota is now in position to win as many as nine games, which would be a near-record turnaround.
