I'll say that Erika Allen is having an outstanding year for a freshman goalie. Roseville alternates goalies (with Jenna Boss) but Allen has been in net (not coincidentally?) vs. WBL, Hopkins, Blake, Stillwater and Edina. I won't say she 'outplayed' the more celebrated goalies on those teams but she did come away from those games 4-1.
And of course you can say that Roseville's D has been outstanding, which it has, but goaltending has been a strength of that team, not a liability.

Roseville doesn't have any players to look at. No NDP players, no colleges looking at their kids, maybe a write up of two decent forwards and not much else...smoke and mirrors baby, thats how they win, smoke and mirrors!!
Brausen and Capistrant are both very good forwards and they have some good D. D1 schools looking at Capistrant. Granted Roseville is not as deep as past years, but this team is legit. It is not smoke and mirros.
alright, I'm sure Titleist was kidding about smoke and mirrors. That is the running joke with their coaching staff. Only one D-1 school has looked at their players, and only two or three D-3 schools have contacted their players. Meaning, even though they have a tradition of winning, they don't have any players worth being looked at by any schools...except for Brausen, and Capistrant...who were both overlooked at NDP tryouts. The real running joke is this...Look at the strength of schedule and a team GAA of less than 1.3 for the year. It must be more than smoke and mirrors!!

There is a girl from Bloomington Jefferson that is in 8th grade that starts that is pretty good.

Why so hard on Boss? You were wrong on your stats... she played both WBL games this year and is rated 4th in state. Both the Roseville goalies are stong. They have a great team this year!

Yikes! What stats???? I certainly don't think I was being hard. We were talking about freshmen. I just pointed out that Allen was in nets against the other top ten-type opponents, which makes sense since she was the goalie coming in that had a year of varsity experience, and she did very well against those teams. Boss has been very good. At this point, I think Roseville can use either goalie interchangeably, they're both playing equally well. No offense intended.
Hard??? Are you her mom?
By the way, I'm pretty sure Allen played the first WBL game.

Her mom? I played hockey with Erika and Jenna last year. Both Awesome goalies.
Jenna did play the first WBL game. Roseville won in O.T.

Brausen and Capistrant are the dynamic duo for Roseville. Amazing hockey players. How about Kerr? She is a senior that really turned it on this year and is playing awesome. Witwikie is an awesome defender. Brodt and Flug are a couple of young players we'll hear a lot about in the next 3-4 years. They are great skaters and play smart.

YO puckhog, as long as we're going to talk Roseville, why isn't the younger Stecklein ever mentioned as a top freshman?

Funny you should bring that up considering she scored the OT winner vs. Stillwater last month. Still fresh in your mind I see....

there's nothing like good memories like that to take into tonights barn-burner. I hear the band and a couple of cable companies will be there.
Back to Stecklein, give her another season and she'll have every D-1 program after her. Total package, big, strong, heavy shot, soft hands, and good speed. Will be fun to see her as she progresses.

Seemed like an odd choice when she went, but with Schulz, another good one in PL, guess she just wanted to go play every game, and see a lot of shots.

Hunter would have still been the starter over schultz through last year, shultz has just stepped it up this year, hunters reason was coaching issue and other things, But she had no issues with their current coach!

Leah Gefroh is not even close to the real deal.
