Lourdes hands down for me.

As for West, I wouldn't say they are rebuilding, they have seven seniors currently. They won't be able to contend with NP or Lourdes though.

#1 was in goal I think.

Lourdes outshot New Prague pretty heavily but the game was even. New Prague scored all 4 of its goals (I think) from the slot, 10-15 feet out. Lourdes did a bad job of covering up out there and with talented kids like Lapic and Adams out there uncovered they won't miss much. Heimer played well in goal but like I saud the goals were point blank shots off of good passes making it impossible for Heimer to get set.

It was an entertaining game though the first period was played tentativlely by both teams. I'd expect these two teams to meet again, New Prague takes the early lead for the top seed.

Wow didn't see that coming honestly. Congrats to NP, big W. Any other score updates.

West 7
Waseca 0

Shots were about 40-10. West had too many penalties (again). Waseca had to play half their team in the JV game due to numbers.

Big win by NP over Lourdes. Any other 1A scores from tonight?

Who cares?

Sounds Like as of now, New Prague establishes themselves as the team to beat in this section. Will West give them any challenge tomorrow night? Will Red Wing challenge Lourdes at all tomorrow night as well?

No and No. Although West and NP both have the same style of play(flip the puck past the other teams d and chase it), New Prague will be to much to handle. Lourdes will come back strong after not playing well vs. New Prague.[/quote]

i dont understaand why when someone mentions a team like la crescent you feel the need to say "who cares." Im pretty sure there in 1a and this is about section 1a, so show a little respect.

You don't think Red Wing will challenge Lourdes tonight? hmm ok.. I would probably take Red Wing over New Prague. New Prague needs to show they have another line that can do something. Yeah, good win for them, but one line will only get you so far.

i agree this "who cares" or "they dont matter" is getting a little old. how would you tiger fans feel if they had a down year and people just said who cares? think about that

back to talk about tonight, i think red wing will challenge lourdes tonight. in my opinion red wing is a little bit underrated in this section. all the hype is about lourdes and new prague, but red wing played holy angels to a close game and completely man handled northfield. should be a good one. my prediction:
RED WING 4- new prague 2 (ENG)

That will not happen. New Prague is at Mankato West tonight. i'm guessing you meant Lourdes

New Prague does have a great first line, and yes i do agree that can only get you so far. (West Last year??) I do see a strong second line emerging from the Trojans though with Witty, Kes, and Brezina or Fadden. All those players work hard, play defense, and get shots on net. Against Lourdes it was Witty who set the tone for the game by getting the first goal in 2nd period, that really lit a fire underneath them. And the third line with Smith a Senior captain who is more than willing to work his behind off is also doing well. I think the only problem is between the pipes, and Morris is really starting to fix that. He has been playing well, very fast and sees the puck well, he could easily be one of the best freshman goalies in the state.

And Mankato West apparently shows they can compete in this section. Anyone have any details?

And sorry if the "who cares?" comment hurt anyone, it was honestly just a little joke..
