Does Wayzata have one goalie that is alot better than the other? Because it's odd they skated with EP and won that game but then it wasn't close with Edina. I think EP will bounce back from this tournament and really step it up. As for Edina, I think they have 3 solid lines that each have the ability to score and the whole team really moves the puck well. Their D looked pretty solid too, as they all could skate well and shoot the puck well too from what I saw. They seem to take a lot of stupid penalties though which could hurt them at some point.
Wayzata made their goalie look really bad on saturday, giving edina 2nd, 3rd, and 4th chances on shots. I think EP and Wayzata came out flat saturday after a long emotional game friday.
What are you talking about? Wayzata sucks, they got so lucky friday night it was disgusting. EP just shot bad, wayzatas goalie barely can move side to side. He spent the whole game flopping around like a fish out of water. He must have had a horse shoe up his ass friday night. As far as I'm concerned Wayzata will have a record barely above 50% this year and they'll beat a couple good teams during the regular season then brag about how they're better then everyone because they beat EP.

Ok, KOKO. If a hot goalie means a team doesn't deserve a win then they better take those 1980 gold's away.

Thank you for clearly showing your from Watertown.

What was the score of their first game? I'm guessing they handled them pretty well, from what your saying about them...
If he was from Watertown I don't think he would know anything about EP "avoiding" Wayzata.

Either way, I will be able to make it to the Watertown-Duluth game today and we will see if Watertown is as good as he says.

How was the game?

I think Watertown won that one 2-1. I expected Duluth to be better. Do they pull kids from all of their highschools? or is it from one highschool? I assume it's from all their schools because they have some goofy name called Kernz Kompany.

All schools but mainly East and that's the sponsor that bought the jerseys

Thank You. I did not know that. I still would expect them to be a top team year in year out.

Yes KOKO your right all Wayzata does is brag about how good they are all year and than do nothing at the end ! HA HA sounds like your a little bitter . Take the loss and learn from it . E.P. clearly played better but by no means did Wayzata " suck " ! It should be a fun year for the JGA teams as any team could win on any given day ! I see E.P. making excuses already the same as every year . Maybe a little bit less talk and a little more focus will get your team the Championship this year ! Good luck to all teams this year stay safe and have fun !!

Still early in the season. Based on the first few games EP and Edina look like the teams to beat. Speed kills and both of these teams are fast. The goalie from Wayzata was incrediable Friday night against EP. He had to have 60 saves in the 6 periods played.

Should be another fun season.

Is it true that Wayzata A won the sportsman award? Amazing!!

They have trouble putting the puck in the net. Watertown played good in the first period but played very sloppy after that. Duluth's only goal was on the PP.

Any strong points or just an average team. I've heard they lost to Grand Rapids the other day

Just to clear that loss up, we lost 5-4 and didnt have a goalie in the first period, they scored 4 goals from their zone. And also with that Watertown game, we held control for most of the third, just need to learn how to bury. Will be a force come state time.

It looks like you tied EP, I am just curious if you could give some info on EP. Strengths, Weaknesses? anything you noticed?

So it sounds like the key is to play physical with them and take the body to knock em off the puck.

If it wasnt for a three pipes and a disallowed goal ep would have won the game with ease.

Pipes aren't goals thats the problem, that is a terrible excuse. You don't get points for being close. Edina hit 5 pipes in the 2A state championship game last year, if not they would have won with ease.

I am familiar with Edina's team. No one named Kyle Mullen. Never heard the name in fact.

Any teams coming on strong now or the same old news? There needs to be more JGA talk on here.
