CDH Alum

You from MN Karl?
Yep, Duluth East alum. Also here for college and going back to MN for the tourney next week.

Well I hope you two enjoy watching your alums. Myself I was an OT goal away from watching my alum play while I'm back from break from college. :(

Your team had to ruin it for me hcivic91, now i'll just turn into an East fan next week for Karl (I can't cheer for you guys!)

Hats off to Apple Valley. Played strong in sections upsetting Woodbury and playing CDH tough until the end. Congratulations on a fine season.

To the AV fans.......you have alot of young talent on your team, especially Gretz. If this section is kept together then these two will see alot of each other over the next couple of years most likely. Funny thing was that Cretin didnt play as fast as I thought they should of......AV got the type of tempo for the most part that they wanted and needed. I always knew that AV could play with Cretin, I just dont like when people said that it was a straight up even game. THat wasnt correct, AV was a decided underdog, but they had been playing better in the sections, and that is a huge thing. A second seed is most of the time a huge favorite against a 5 seed. AV was one tough 5 seed, and they matched up well and played their style of game against Cretin. Funny thing is that Cretin was patient in this game and I really havent seen them be super patient and composed in a game this year......last nite they were, maybe this young Cretin team can turn some heads at the X in less than a week, and they wont be the lowest seed at the X either........at worst the Hill-Stillwater winner should be.

THe Cretin and AV section will atleast be tough with these two, both teams are young.........but there is alot of young talent in this section....Eagan has some, Eastview, Cretin and AV. So this section might just make a couple of nice runs at state in the next couple of years. This year with this Cretin team is a cross your fingers tourney......they might do something, but most likely not if given a low seed....which isnt totally deserved.......

CDH get a low seed?? They will be one of the random draws and have an early exit to the consolation round.

Valley was the 4 seed, Eastview was the 5 seed in the section.

Who decided they were the decided underdog? Almost everyone on the board at least thought this would be a good even match-up and it proved to be so.

I do agree though this section will produce some good teams in the coming years because I know Valley has some tough Bantams coming in so the team should remain young for another year but also have some good experience from alot of young returners from this years squad.

For Cretin to win at state they need to draw a team that will let them work there PP lots, but I don't think Edina, DE, or EP (3 teams I think will be seeded) will let them do much of that. The other I think will be the Centennial/Blaine winner which I don't know to much about either so I'm not sure how they would match-up with that draw.

It was a straight up even game as most predicted..except you. If they played 10 times that's 5/5. I was way wrong on my Jefferson prediction and you were wrong on your thoughts on this game. Was Cretin patient in this game or bottled up? Anyways great game.
AV will be very tough the next 3 yrs. Very tough.

Cretin did not even play well in the game last night. If Apple Valley cant beat a struggling Cretin team then they wont beat a rolling one. I would say Cretin wins 9 out of ten times. THe only time valley would win is if they CDH decides to play their JV team

You should actually read...left to right (as you face the page) and start at the top and take some Advil for any cramps and headaches. I never said that AV didnt have a chance, but there is a HUGE difference between a 19-7 team and a 14-12 team........and dont tell me that Cretin played in a weak conference, because that isnt true.

I hate to tell you this but there is No way that it would be 5 games each in a 10 games series. Cretin was still a little tense, and man did you blow on the Jefferson-Edina game. As tough as you may think that AV will be, Cretin will be tough also. Look at the stud sophmores and freshmen that Cretin has that are listed on this site. Ohh by the way the super sophmores on Cretin played pretty tense in their first section finals, I dont think that they will be so tense next time. Good luck to AV, they do have some decent bantams coming up from what I have seen over the last couple of years

Cretin was tense? and AV is younger. Wow. Nice excuse..doesn't work though. It would be 5/5 minimum....AV looked like the better team to me..don't kid yourself...and forget the fricking records for God's sake. AV was a whole new team going into regions..and they proved it. Cretin didn't score on AV even strength.....lucky they got the B.S. penalty in OT or maybe we wouldn't even be discussing them. Two AV freshmen outplayed the stud sophmores btw.
